Beware of what you upload and monetize

Hey Dave, dud you get an email from YT stating your video contains audio that matches third party content? I only ask because one of my earlier videos had no background music of any kind yet they claimed there 2as music in the background that matched third party music. I watch the video and realized they thought the whining of my shaper was a musical instrument found in some orchestra. I only ask because I wonder if YTs new copyright software picked up the paging system page in the background. Let me know. Take care Dave.

oh god, this new content ID system is fucked, if they are going after products i am screwed :p They would not have looked at it directly, its an automated system, loads of gaming channels have had content ID strikes from the automates system, even tho the game publisher and creator is perfectly ok with those youtubers making videos.

The youtube bot that is doing this is not flagging them because of products. It is doing it because it is stupid and it thinks you have taken someone else's content like you are playing a part of someone else's video or their music or some other content like that. They did this to me a few times but I hit the prove I own the content button and wrote something similar to what I have written in my other comment here, and it cleared it right up. Those videos are now happily monetized and youtube now knows that I own the completely original content in those videos.

This happened on a few of my videos, including one of my Quincy 325 videos. It is just youtube's idiotic commercial use rights bot going around catching videos that are original. They are not so much worried about the products that are being video taped but that the content is all yours, so you are not trying to make money off of a video or music that some body else made. To solve this just go to your video manager and hit the ! that is where the monetize button is for that video. It should take you to the monetization tab for that video and you need to check the box that says "I can provide proof of commercial use rights" Then select "My video contains only my original content" Now there will be a box where you can type up to 1000 characters to prove you own the commercial use rights. Type something along these lines: This video contains only my own completely original content. I recorded this video with my own camera. I own all worldwide commercial use rights for this video. The only person who appears in this video is myself. All of the things in the video were done by myself. Then you hit save changes in the bottom right corner of the page and it will take minuets up to a few months for them to process it then your video should be once again monetized. It took a few days on a 2 of my vids that this happened to and it took a couple weeks on the third. BTW there is a certain amount of time that you have to do this before it permanently disables monetization on that single video. It's like a week or two if I remember correctly. I hope this helps!

yeah i have gotten that letter before, it was because i did a vid on 35mm film. it had no copyrightable material in the vid. i suspect that it's an automated thing that tag's a vid based on the title. i got that letter 7 months ago. i don't think that they actually watch the video; just that the computer looks at the title of the vid (possibly at random) and automatically issues that exact letter. i wouldn't worry about the letter. i am now very careful about the key words i use in the title; like i try never to use the word film (which i think is the reason i was tagged). it's not a copyright strike though just youtube covering their arse. maybe it tagged one specific word in the title of your vid

I got that the other day form one of my videos i had no company's products showing or logos viable its just fucking bullshit...

it flagged the title for further review just don't use brand naming you should be ok

its BS, dont pay any attention to it. theyre not gonna actually take down videos, they just have to send out the message for whatever legal reasons so they dont get sued but i dont think theyre gonna take down vids.

Doesn't look like they took the video down or anything, they aren't very clear on what they are even sending you that email for? Did it disable your ability to monetize the video?

Think its more to do with music and commercial video that may have been edited into your vid or say you'd uploaded a music vid. Don't think its to do with things and machines etc. If it was products manufactured by others we would all have to just make vids of ourselves out in the middle of nowhere in the buff!

I got similar message due to music on the radio when i was driving in one of my vids, i have deleted all my driving vids... I've had others refused adverts and i think it was just due to the title i gave the vid! Think its all automated

I think your right on on the automated considering the time frame in witch I got the message unless Y/T has more than one shift
