Great knives, I liked the fact that the same frame can be used to give each knife a different aspect, look and function.

I have a fondness for all the Harrison Bay spear blade w/swedge top grind. That combo with the Fremont is a helluva 1..2 punch

As far as aesthetics go, I think the Northwoods knives are some of the best looking traditionals out there. Those blades just look fantastic to me. And by the way, if you ever do find the time to make leather slips or pouches for sale, I'd be happy to be a customer. Cheers, Joe.

Yeah the look of the northwoods i think is what originally drew me towards them. I love the saber grind and the heat treat marks they use.

I think the 14s are super underrated as a general carry knife. Yeah it's "small" but I think our whole edc/knife community has kind of convinced itself it "needs" larger knives than are actually necessary, especially considering the majority of other people don't even carry a knife and get by just fine. Sure, as a work knife in certain jobs, it may not be the best choice... but just as a general purpose average joe daily carry wtf are we really doing on a day to day basis that truly requires more than something like the 14? To those who have never tried one, I definitely recommend giving a small knife a shot... it's actually surprising how much work they can do.

Agree, i can get through most normal days with a smaller knife.

In the Bob Loveless film here on You Tube he talks about being influenced by a guy he saw dress a whole deer with a 3” Barlow.

Your narrow sleeve board freemont jack and number 15 are the size I prefer, but all the 14's have class to them. Sorry to hear about the stringent lockdown your under as I bet the leather work slip's keep the sanity and stress down, they look amazing and well crafted. A.t.b from axpandy Andy.

Thanks It has been a fun hobby to learn and to keep me occupied for sure! It helps me keep my sanity...😀

How could anyone not like smooth bone that looks like that. It looks like glass and changes colors just by moving it in the light. I believe jigging can look more used after carrying it for a while; but smooth bone just seems to get better looking with age. You might want to get a makers mark stamp if you decided to sell your leather knife slips. Leather is a lot like bone some just look better plain. The color and grain of good leather shows the natural beauty of it too.

Yeah, some of the fancy bone they use is just out of this world👌

Man I wish I kept that jigged bone 14! Glad your still enjoying it! Lmk if your ever parting w it

And I like the small size as well. I think you can do just about 99 percent of all edc tasks with a gec 14💪

Really nice collection of GEC 14's Joe. My only one is in Gabon ebony with a beautiful swedged sabre cut spear point blade, my absolute favorite blade shape. I'm envious of your exotic covers though...without a doubt they are unique. Great work on the slips too Joe they are as unique and gorgeous as some of those knives...very fitting. I'm away from home at this time returning the end of the week

Yeah man I love a good saber ground spear! And for sure I am lucky to have some of my pieces, but I got in rather early... the slipjoint collecting hobby has blown up in recent years!

I have a #14 "Boys Knife" from 2014 with red jigged bone, bare headed. Main spear and secondary pen. It's one of my favorite knives and fairly typical for the size of knife that I personally like to carry on a normal day.
