I suspect the exhaust diffuser is a carry over from the automotive industry and is to help cool the exhaust off during regen. During a regen cycle extra fuel is added to get the exhaust hot enough to burn the soot out of the exhaust system and could easily start a fire. By drawing in cool air (venturi effect) the air temperature coming out is substantially lowered.

I don't know much about models other than the L4701, but my 2020 L4701 has the brakes on the left and go pedal on the right, so that was an early adoption. It also came with sway bars instead of turnbuckles (at least I don't think I paid extra for those). Floor mats and the grill guard would be nice. Kubota needs to get their act together with the ROPS bar. Having to remove the safety clip AND unscrew the lock pins to fold the ROPS is idiotic. No one else does that. Makes it a real PITA to drop it to get into the garage. Fortunately I don't have to do that very often, but it irks me everytime I do. One thing I wish Land Pride would take a clue from SpeeCo on is not requiring cat 3 adapter bushings for the QH15. Those are $40 a set, and they add up quick.

Aloha Neil! Those amber switches… (you showed the one for off tractor PTO). My L4701 “lost” the white markings on them about a month after I bought it. So, just unmarked amber buttons now. I know they relate to regen, but the way I use the tractor it’s never gone into regen (300 hours). I know I can figure them out from the operator’s manual, but I’m not likely to have it with me (the Kubota app is no good because no wifi or cell signal in the lower part of the property). All the previous is to hopefully head off the read the manual comments I’m sure are still coming… anyway: Is there a decal kit or some such to “re-mark” those buttons? will this new grill guard and the exhaust defuse fit my LX 2610 ?
@MessicksEquip2 жыл бұрын
We did have someone fit the guard to the LX with some minor modifications. It does not fit the L-01 tractors.

Can you retro fit the new fuel filter on an L3901?

I'D LIKE TO GET AN L-SERIES KUBOTA TRACTOR. HOWEVER, IT'S WAY TOO SLOW FOR MY LIKING. IS THERE A WAY OF PUMPING UP THE SPEED TO A COMFORTABLE 30MPH FOR ROAD DRIVING TO MINIMIZE ROAD RAGE FROM DRIVERS FOLLOWING BEHIND THE TRACTOR?
@MessicksEquip2 жыл бұрын
That may seem like a good idea, but you don't want it. A small tractor like this would be extremely dangerous at that speed.

Is there any benefits to the PTO knob VS the older lever style like on the BX series as far as is one easier on the tractor/longer life than the other?
@MessicksEquip2 жыл бұрын
Six of one, half dozen of the other. You can make the argument that the electronic knob is more complicated, and involves wires. But taking the clutch away from most operators will add reliability.
@wildbill23c2 жыл бұрын
@@MessicksEquip Ok thanks. I didn't know if the operation with the knob changed how the actual PTO internal engagement worked or not, guess my original question was pretty vague HAHA!!! Thank you. I have no issue with the manual lever on my BX2680, but there's no clutch to physically operate, it is a hydraulically engaged clutch setup if I recall. Should provide decades of problem free operation I hope.

Does the 3302 come standard with rear remotes?
@MessicksEquip2 жыл бұрын
No, virtually never used on this size tractor.

Very nice tractor. But it still has that treadle pedal. Which I can not deal with. If they would change that to side by side petals I would probably get one.
@kmac63992 жыл бұрын
Treadle pedal is way more intuitive once your used to it. Use your toe to go ahead and heel to go back. Also much easier to operate when turned around in the seat looking over your shoulder such as blowing snow.
@kdegraa2 жыл бұрын
It’s not going to change and many people like it. Personally with the treadle pedal reduces confusion and the need to look down to see if the forward or reverse pedal is being pressed. People complain about fatigue from using a treadle peddle. Maybe if one is getting fatigued like this it’s time to take a break and do some stretches.
@kendrury37132 жыл бұрын
treadle pedal is pathetic, so let's put the brakes in front of them. took them a long time to figure that was a joke.
@donaldstrishock39232 жыл бұрын
A treadal pedal is for professionals & dual side by sides are for "home-loaners".

Maybe I should have said and explained that with the physical disability I have I am unable to use the treadle pedal. I am sorry if I affended the people that really like it

Is there a mid PTO option a mid mount mower available for these?
@JoeGalanteTribute2 жыл бұрын
If you look at the Kubota site, there is no mention of a mid-mount mower or a front snowblower, so I would think that a mid-PTO either isn't available or would be VERY costly to add. I believe that is the reasoning behind the LX models.
@je12792 жыл бұрын
@@JoeGalanteTribute Thank you for the information. I currently own an LX and the thought of a slightly larger frame size with mid pto and a mid mount mower option was interesting.
