I was raised on Deere, my family has a large winery in California. About a year and a half ago we bought out another winery to add sparkling wine and add onto our production facility, the purchase came with 2 Kabota M120 a M110 and a M85. The 85 has become my favorite tractor, it has never let me down and is one one the smoothest running tractors I have ever run. I actually changed the locks and have the only key I love it so much.

Our farm has a M125 with a loader, it’s our do all tractor, gets used everyday to dig silage for feed, and anything from clearing brush, running a grain auger, post pounder,hay mower,etc. Kubota makes good tractors that seem to last awhile and can take some farm delivered punishment. Awesome video.

What I find strange is. The number one issue every farmer has to deal with is overhead expenses. All this high tech is interesting to see etc. But whats the repair cost when the warranty runs out? I would think a average farmer wants a simple, reliable, quiet cab, yet low maintenance cost. Actually the newer tractors can't be repaired by average farmer. They have gotten so frustrated that they pay people to hack and offer up OEM like software to help fix their tractors.. 😕🚜
@MessicksEquip6 жыл бұрын
We understand what you're talking about, and while this may be surprising.. we understand and support the farmers ability to be able to repair their own equipment which is increasingly difficult with all these software tools. The bottom line though is, modern tractors with all of their efficiency oriented features help improve the bottom line for some farmers. You're absolutely right that some people would be better served by more basic equipment, and most companies including Kubota offer that. That's never the fun stuff that people talk about though. People are much more interested in the latest and greatest advancements.
@BeingMe236 жыл бұрын
Messick Farm Equipment Oh yea. I should added while alot farmers enjoy all the modern day designs and operation. The older farmers much would prefer the more basic. Like you said they try to build a range to suit many different choices. I enjoy studying any kinda mechanical engineering aspects. I have up with various mods to decrease fuel use etc. Hell I would love redesign this you showed. I am not gonna run off here about how engineers are told not to do certain ideas due to cost and marketing. Okay I am done... But THANK YOU FOR A MADE PROFESSIONAL VIDEO! 😊 It will help ease the fears about how all the high tech works for the farmer not against them.

Kubota is definitely giving Deere a run for their money. Really like how you just pointed things out and didn't trash another manufacture like JD does that I have seen from several JD dealers in youtube videos trashing Kubota. Question though, does the M7 sport the Grand X cab as the M135GX? I'm digging the M7 but not to crazy about the control layout ad like the 135 layout better.
@MessicksEquip8 жыл бұрын
The cab on the M7 is totally different than the smaller tractors. It would include all the refinements though. The M135GX was replaced with the M6.131 that also included cab improvements.
@charlesstevenson51418 жыл бұрын
Ahh ok. I wasn't aware of that. I saw the M108S cab didn't change but they produced the GX. Was just wondering about the M7 because it doesn't have the center cab pillars and has rounded glass which I used to distinguish the two cabs apart.

This is a well done very comprehensive review. Possibly the best tractor review ever for KZbin! I'm in the market for a similar sized tractor. What does a M7 similarly equipped sticker at?

I have read Kubota uses a ZF CVT in the M7, but I’ve also read Kubota uses many AGCO parts and AGCO has never used ZF, only Fendt Vario. Does the M7 have a Fendt Vario transmission option? That would be a big reason to buy the M7…Fendt CVT uses no clutch packs. I’ve had a few problems with my '16 6155R IVT. Granted under warranty, but problems none the less. Who knows what can happen long term. Kubota anything is far less in price then Fendt. If its possible to get a Fendt Vario in a Kubota, that would be a big deal.
@cantankerousclankingcontra82956 жыл бұрын
Some impressive updates to the M series, but not enough to sway me. Kubota refuses my request to add a MMM to the M series, which is greatly needed for my lawn due to too many trees and vehicles on cinder blocks to mow around.

generally smaller tractors than this are used in boom mower applications (M110GX-M135GX). Kubota has an alliance with 'Terrain King' which is a certified adaptation of Alamo mowers on Kubota tractors.

Yes and No. All companies have some level of electronic engine control and software that's not shared publicly, Deere has more than most and has taken more of a 'cell phone' model with forced obsolescence compared to the rest of the industry.
