I've owned many Kubota sizes and now have an L39 , it's crazy how much more power it has for digging and working over a Kubota standard L series , awesome

I'd like to preface this comment by saying I didn't watch any comparison videos before going to the different dealers and looking at the tractors myself. I recently bought my first tractor. Going in I was very bias and wanted a John Deere. After first looking at the 3025e I almost pulled the trigger on the purchase but wanted to do my due diligence and look at other brands for comparison. Went to look at the New Holland workmaster 25 and was disappointed with how cheap it looked. Yes it was steel vs JD plastic but it did not look appealing to me. Just looked and felt like an simple old tractor way behind on comfort and engineering. Then again I was bias towards JD so maybe I came in not liking it. On my way back to buy the JD I stopped at Kubota. From my first look at the l2501 I noticed so many differences in build and quality. Everything about the Kubota was better than the JD. I will say that the treadle pedal was not as bad as some people say. It is my first tractor so I would get used to either pedal design. I'm very very particular and almost detail oriented to a fault. I noticed bigger axle on Kubota, heavier 3-point hitch, loader bucket quick coupler, 3 range trans, smooth loader operation when lifting and leveling at the same time and way to many better things than I can list. Overall I was very baffled that I didn’t consider Kubota in the beginning of my purchase experience. My application was for my own landscaping projects at my house. One of the requirements for me was a backhoe. After looking at all three tractors the JD and new Holland both used the same Woods backhoe. Kubota makes their own stuff. I really liked that. Bottom line I fell in love with Kubota even though at the beginning of my purchase experience I didn't even consider buying a Kubota. Then I went home and spent a week looking at countless hours of comparison videos and research. I went with the Kubota B26 TLB because it checked off everything I was looking for in a tractor. Now I will say money was not an issue or a deciding factor for me. Quality of build and over engineering was my deciding factor. I actually called the JD salesman and new Holland salesman and told them I’m going with the Kubota B26 and asked them to talk me out of it and they said they donʼt have a tractor as well engineered and overbuilt as the Kubota B26 TLB. That sealed the deal for me. That's my story and opinion.

I bought a new B26 just because one can beat on it and it will not even flinch....well worth the extra $$$ to me. The B2650 series seemed very light weight and knowing how I like to 'use' equipment was not going to trust it to hold up. If your a weekend putter the TLB series is overkill but if you like to use your equipment for everything it has got I would spend the extra ....spend once cry once Excellent Video Neil!!

Nice video. Kubota seems to be stepping in and taking advantage of the hole left by Deere when they discontinued the 110TLB.

Great Job Neal! You are an excellent salesman and very knowledgeable. I would like to ad I have a L39TLB and it is a great machine even with the glideshift. I bought a L3560HSTC a couple months ago and enjoy the cab :) When it comes to heavy loader work I definitely go to the L39. Our OHV club has a 110TLB so I have an opportunity to compare these 2 units. While the Deere has what appears to be a quicker backhoe that is the only thing the L39 gives up to it. One thing on the 110TLB is that in warmer weather the e Hydro puts out a lot of heat and after a few hours of working it your feet are well done from the heat. The L39 with the pivoting seat is a major plus also. You have no choice but to climb off and on the 110TLB when going from loader to backhoe. The L39 also puts the power to the ground and will out push the 110TLB. Keep up the good work on your videos!!

Might be an old video, but thank you! Within the first minute you explained everything I needed to know about the backhoe acceptability on almost any compact tractor without needing to look into a pre-setup design like the B26. Honesty goes a long way, wish there was a Messicks near my location!

Nice video. I own the L39 TLB and love it for it size. I use it to dig footings, move dirt, gravel, level small trees and plants, lift shingles to the roof, and all sorts of lifting projects. I actually am in the process of selling it to upgrade to the L47. I hope this is a good decision. I have been told that it's better to keep the older ones instead of the newer but once it's sold I will looking for the big brother. Great video, very informative and thanks again for the info.

excellent video; makes me want to go back and not purchase the MX4800 w/backhoe that i have and instead get a M series TLB.... that being said, one thing Neil forgot to mention is that the Kubota TLB series is light enough to be towed on a standard heavy duty car trailer (the weight is kept to under 10k LBS- usually less than 8k LBS fully equipped) meaning no special drivers license required, a standard 2wd John Deere 310 backhoe weighs in at around 14k (starting) and must be hauled (legally) with a class A license using a much heavier duty truck than a standard 3/4 or 1 ton pickup. the caveat is that they aren't as powerful as a full blown dedicated backhoe such as the JD 310, but this is a lighter machine that also can be used with 3 point hitch attachments whereas you'd have to buy two machines - a skip loader AND a backhoe if you bought a JD310. everything is give and take.

Neil thanks for the video and honestly. I'm hoping the following comment may help somebody in decision making. Having had, enjoyed and thoroughly appreciated the capabilities of the older equivalents to the B26 and L47, I've Learned through the years it's easier and far more efficient, in my own applications, to have the comfort along with the front and rear quick attachment capability of a MX6000 tractor with a cab and a "swiss army knife" KX18-04 mini excavator. If anything else is required, simply rent it. I hope this helps someone, the combination works well for us.

Love my B21 too. I beat it hard in the woods and it just shrugs it off. When my tractor friends use their tractors like I do they break stuff. I’ll only ever have a Kubota TLB series in the barn - never anything else. Wish it came with quick attach instead of the pin on bucket, but I always find a way to get the job done anyways.

I'm looking at getting an L45 or M59 largely because I don't want to deal with the tier 4 b.s. but the only thing I don't like about these machines is the lack of a cab option I was really hoping with the new series that Kubota would have a nice glass cab like on some of their other tractors but sadly they didn't think us Canadians need to stay warm in our not so wonderful weather and we have to go to the aftermarket.
@MessicksEquip5 жыл бұрын
There is an aftermarket cab available, it is a better option than it was when I shot this video originally

I've done a fair share of snow removal in an M59... It's not the most fun experience with the front wheels kicking up spray, if you are in a pinch and can't get a custom cab, some ghetto temporary fenders help a lot in the wet/snow.

I like the sloped down and no headlight designed hood. Problem is you can get the standard L much cheaper and better financing with a backhoe and their capability on paper is similar or better than the B26, but the standard L has more versatile, which is kinda the point of a compact tractor. Doubt many will remove the backhoe and mow a field. B26 and the swivel seat seems like more of a pain than just hopping on the back seat. B26 total hydraulic flow is similar to L3301, but don't see details about power steering breakdown (L3301 is 6.3 GPM for just implement and rest is power steering). Looking at videos, B26 backhoe seems to work maybe slightly better than BH77, but not by much. L47 GPM is significantly higher and seems more capable than any compact tractor attached backhoe. Being able to turn around see while sitting down plus have other features like creep is a huge upgrade. In summary, if you went the TLB route, you probably want the L47, but that is far more expensive (60k) and at the price, might as well buy a mini-ex or skidsteer. Other factor is no one has TLBs in stock (seems to be a rare obscure model) and don't see good incentives on them (84 month 0%).

your kinda missing the point. These tractors are more about being bomb proof than capacity for your dollar. It's a machine targeted for rental yards, job sites, etc.
