Great hear. My 18 month went 4 weeks of weekly egg transferring from bulk cartoon to small fridge carton with no cracks.. no egg dropping- and this week, 1 accident drop... we cleaned up, then an intentional egg drop from her learning tower immediately after. We will see how next week goes. The puddle splashing, mud pies, dirt under the nails, feeding herself, and helping in the kitchen always leads to more mess. But I keep telling myself that it’s worth it. As a mom who decided to build a pikler because I enjoyed woodworking before having a child- I learned that this is the season in life for me to be doing that for a hobby. I liked woodworking when I could casually come on to project, build over a weekend and stay up till 2am if I wanted. Now it’s rush to get to the store, do all loud things when the kid is napping, work in short bursts and race for the finished product instead of enjoying the journey. I now happily just click the “buy it now” button. Even when I do observe my daughter and think I find the perfect material for her to explore more- she sometimes wants nothing to do with it, or she will master it quickly then never go back.

Michael Roberts, (2021) who writes the crime column for Westword, The Independent Voice of Denver Since 1977 reported: since the Columbine massacre of April 20, 1999, 22 years ago, there have been at least 284 school shootings in the United States. Forty-four have occurred in the past two years plus four additional already in 2021. # 282. February 26, 2021 New Orleans, Louisiana A New Orleans Police officer was shot and killed after trying to break up a fight at a high school basketball game at George Washington Carver High School. # 283. March 01, 2021 Pine Bluff, Arkansas A 15-year-old student was killed in a targeted shooting at Watson Chapel Junior High School. # 284. April 12, 2021 Knoxville, Tennessee A student armed with a handgun was shot and killed after a confrontation with a police officer at Austin-East High School. One officer was shot but survived. # 285. April 6, 2021 Rigby, Idaho A sixth grader opened fire at Rigby Middle School injuring three: two students and the custodian Just today, a 14 year old stabbed a 13 year old to death. Montessori education exists up to high school. There has never been a school shooting within science based Montessori education. Add, comparisons regarding leadership, parenting, and wisdom on the part of all adults, all involved in Montessori education have been far superior or the very best on behalf of everyone involved. For example, there are profound increases in positivity, effective problem solving and love of neighbor because solutions are science based and actually work. Try developmental theories (something literally thrown out in antiscience based education). It is just one very small example guiding decisions. My students of 15 years outperformed all in any program anywhere. It was a Montessori program. Those students scored within the 98th percentile in the entire nation. They were Montessori students in a high quality Montessori program. Just as in antiscience based education, there are variances between programs, there are sometimes the same in Montessori education. Speaking on behalf of every child, and according to the Every Student Succeeds Act, is it beyond shameful judging more than 114 years of proven science (outperforming antiscience based education) because of one classroom or even more than one. Dr. Montessori's Method is not an experiment. It is 100 % science based and if there is any program not working, it is not the fault of the Montessori Method. Please understand the truth. I work in an antiscience based district and the fallout has been absolutely unacceptable. That is speaking from direct experiences, comparing the superior alternative Montessori education and what ALL my students were able to accomplish BUT FAR MORE, comparing every quality Montessori school against antiscience based schools and student disorders found everywhere. In one school, a teacher told me nearly half the second graders were on medication. Her child had been diagnosed with severe anxiety disorder. That is not the fruit of science based treatment (the Montessori Method) and that is beyond an understatement! My second graders were 100 % saints and monks: 100 % loving life and loving learning, all with the greatest possible passion! Would love to provide additional data (MOUNTAIN'S WORTH): empirical data, test scores but also proof of 100 % normalized and absolutely brilliant children (without any of the child abuse happening in every antiscience based school and district). That is another benefit. The Montessori Method endlessly provides 100 % superior Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS). ALL parents loved my program and the Montessori school where I worked. All parents love high quality Montessori programs! Not only did my students outperform all others, because of the science based Method, children and students endlessly received 100 % respect and the highest quality differentiation alongside 100 % efficacious problem solving. And it was, as with all Montessori schools, a peaceful and nurturing educational environment. ANYONE who is against Montessori education is in favor is shutting down essential growth, survival and learning mechanisms. Any adult or leader against those proven and attainable needs lacks accurate understandings of root causes. ANYONE who is against Montessori education is in favor of child abuse. (Sorry speaking the truth.) Again, based on experience, antiscience based leadership is the cause of major and absolutely unnecessary fallout. It has been proven with so many school shootings, so many medicated children and far more: considering the major losses in learning happening in antiscienced based education. Montessori educated children in the first plane of development are perfectly served (without the Lord of the Flies analogy you have experienced) and, within high quality programs, they come out light years ahead of their antiscience based peers. Add to it all, children endlessly love the treatment and academic materials provided. All of this is void of opinion but 100 % based on direct experiences and achievements. Spoken on behalf of all children who need far better than antiscience based education and treatment, .... WHO NEED FAR BETTER THAN ALL OF THE ABUSE THAT FOLLOWS (happening every day and everywhere) and life long losses that ensue. School shootings are only the tip of the iceberg. .....
