I listen to this Specific Liasloft PLAYLIST a lot. Its earworm influence is super helpful. I always hear something new or think about something in a different way. I have no idea how many times I've binge-listened to this playlist, but many, many times anyway. So...I'm at a point 3 months out of beginning to LISTEN and DOING while Listening to Liasloft and getting stuff done and it keeps getting easier and easier to keep DOING. While the mindset of my personal version of minimalism continues to improve my life...I repeatedly revisit this playlist because it works for me,motivates me, makes me think... makes me DO. Thanks Liasloft!

I'm definitely learning that like you said, minimalism has no end. I think it spills over into other areas of your life and even once you have your home fully minimalized, sometimes, you end up still purging some of the things that you were okay with keeping.

Me and my husband had to start minimalism. There was one time he was like I DONT HAVE SHIRTS TO WEAR! I counted all his shirts that night and counted 74 shirts and 8 pants. I told him afterwards, he was very disappointed with himself. We started to sort out his clothes, sold some and then donated most. Now he has 15 shirts and is very happy with it. He gets to wear all of them in 2 weeks (just in time for laundry) and we have so much closet space! IT is the way to go. Less anxiety really

Girl, I relate on so many levels with the organization stuff! I was always like 'I need cute baskets to hold all my crap, imma go to Hobby Lobby right now to buy some!' until I realized I was burying the problems in cute baskets xD I have also gone more minimalist (slowly easing my husband into it haha) this past year and I love how I actually have room in my two bedroom townhouse now. Got rid of all my books (ok, I kept like 5 books) and 2 giant ikea bookcases/storage cube things, and wow what space gobblers those are! That is the irony of Ikea. We thought the storage cubes bookcases would free up some space, but the stuff we put into the bins in the first place was really the problem. Maybe that could be your next vid, the dangers of concept of Ikea furniture lol.

I definitely think minimalism is an on going journey in your life and relates to so much more than just your physical possessions . I've just found your channel and watched a few of your videos. I'm interested in minimalism as I think it fits well with my interest in Stoicism. I'm 50, and was brought up during the "golden years" of consumerism. I now look around me and think why do I have all this stuff? I've watched a few channels on minimalism but yours is the most honest, down to earth I've found. I especially like your comment "minimalism doesn't solve all of your problems either". Life is multi-faceted and thereby requires a multi-faceted approach.

I love this video. I used to hoard a bit (not as much as my sisters) and last year I decided I wanted to be more of a minimalist. Now every month I go through all of the stuff in my room, put everything that I don't want/need into a box, and give it away. By the next month, I'll have decided to give away clothes that I know I haven't worn in the last few months. There are just a lot of things that I want to keep but I know I really don't need them, so I'm just doing it month by month instead of just throwing everything out and then regretting it.

My whole life my mom was a hoarder. Her definition of cleaning is putting stuff in plastic bins, stashing things out of view. Her fav thing is to put everything in the garage. It's sad because I want to see/help her but I can't stand stepping into that house. I've noticed that I have her tendencies and slowly I've been decluttering after I moved out of her place two years ago. I did get rid of my storage unit so I def think I'm making good progress. Sad but true and reality checks are always a good thing for me.

Thank you for the video. I do love the idea of minimalism and I'm practicing it daily, to the point of whether I need this item or not, can it be substituted with anything that I already have. I threw away waaaaay less perished foods, less waste, spent less money, owned less clothing, and appreciated what I have more. Oh, and I give more to people, because I believe that something I don't need will be other people's lifesavers.

I just turned my office/man cave into a guest room and only had so much time before the in-laws came for a month. So, I took eight banker boxes full of books to the local half-price book store. After that, I filled another 22 boxes with a video game collection (consoles and games), DVDs, CDs, MORE books, magazines, and a box of cables. Sheesh. My goal is to get rid of everything that will not fit on the dresser/TV stand and in the small bookshelf after the in-laws leave. It cost me extra money to buy the boxes, but SEEING all those boxes really hit home that I was a hoarder. My question is what is enough to keep if you want to keep something?
@ClearYourMindset7 жыл бұрын
Sometimes time gives you that answer. Put it in a box. If you don't use it after a month, don't even open the box, just donate it.

Thanks for the video, I really appreciate the fact, that your telling the truth about minimalism and your experiences! In middle school I was struggling with depression a lot. I started to play punk music and I dyed and cut my hair. I always said "if I'll have a new room and furniture I'll start to tidy it up" But nothing can really heal you mentally until you let God come into your emotions and memories. He healed my depression, transsexualism and emptiness. Telling Jesus "Come into my life and heal me" is the best way to organize and declutter yourself! 😁

I understand the whole "my happiness is in the future" idea. I still think, if I can just create something life changing I'll feel fulfilled. Not that doing big things is a bad thing, but I've been trying to fool myself there, because I just want to prove I've been doing something with my life. I want to matter in some way, and I want to have left this planet better than I found it. But I won't feel satisfied, because there's always something more I could achieve. I'll never really feel like I've completed my mission here. And I don't know how to deal with that. I don't want to settle for merely existing, but I'm barely keeping my head above the waters of despair by dreaming so big. Urgh. I don't know what to do.

Crystle Rose everyday day is a different day so it helps to take each day as it comes. I find that it is good to have goals/dreams that you can take action and work towards but it's also good to try to enjoy the journey and ackowldege/celebrate milestones. Good luck and remember these feelings of despair like most things in life (including life) are temporary.

TheNicoliyah thank you. I really need to work on that. I think I have trouble partly because I am a planner more than a doer, but my dreams seem intangible, so I have trouble connecting them with reality.
