Glad you liked it 😊 Make sure the developer mode and usb debugging is enabled and you can see the device name inside unity in build settings.... If it's still not working, then just build the apk and sideload it onto the headset using Meta Quest developer hub or side quest.

Use a normal USB-C cable, that is, plug in the USB-C end into your headset and the other end into your laptop. After doing this the dialogue box will show up. If the dialogue box never shows up for you, stop using the link cable and use a normal USB-C cable. That is what worked for me.

If you have a dedicated link cabe with you , it makes sense to use that and if you have a USB c cable that's working fine , you can just use that. But if you're serious about development I would recommend getting a link cable

I would like to ask you do you know some latest educational course for beginners VR developers ( paid whatever ) it so hard to find actual for nowadays . I drawning in the youtube tutorials but ofthen stuck becouse the version of unity or tools already old . thank you

Wow, glad that my video helped you ❤️ I would say It would be the same even if you go with any course paid/free outside KZbin too because , there's a new update to the SDK, there's new hardware in the market , some of them are cross platform,some of them are proprietary etc...The point I'm trying to make is , no matter where you learn it will get outdated pretty soon, while I encourage you to go through a course and get the basics right....I would recommend you to start going through the documentation (we often ignore how useful it'll be) , going through the official blogs, latest KZbin tutorials and getting your hands dirty is the way to go! These are the resources I think are up to date and can rely on as a course but I guess some parts of these courses might also be a little outdated xrbootcamp.com/ immersive-insiders.com/ Learnxr.io All of them are paid!

Hi I hope you can help with this, i have developer mode enabled through my meta app and the quest 2 usb debugging prompt doesnt show up when i connect the usb c from my computer. However if i turn off the developer mode, the allow file access prompt shows up and i can link. So theres nothing wrong with the cable. So there seems to be something wrong with developer mode and how it connects to the computer :/

I've almost wasted an entire day figuring out what's the issue and end up knowing it's the cable. Just make sure that's not the case with you. Enable Developer Mode on quest app and also check in the headset settings for the same. You might have accidentally clicked on don't allow , just to be sure check whether the USB connection dialogue is enabled in the developer settings in headset and also have the same account login on both headset and mobile app... How to access passthrough? Only ever done level design in unity so this is a big change considering there is no level to design anymore when the world is the environment now.

Hi! I have now developed a pass-through based project for Quest 1 and I would like to build the project on a Quest Pro. Do you think that if I go through this process, then everything should work properly on the Pro? Are there big difference in these 2 devices? Thank you!

I guess it should work properly as it's the same sdk for all the quest devices but pro will have additional capabilities like eye tracking etc..Let me know if you're able to successfully port it to quest pro

Thanks for the video! I have the problem that when trying to use the Movement SDK example scenes, Unity throws an error that it cannot start movement sdk. Any idea what this could be? A computer of mine where it works is Win10 with GTX1080, the computer with the error is a laptop with Win11 and RTX4070

Install Meta Quest developer hub and see whether You're able to see the device or not and also in the build settings in unity check if you can see the device name/serial number....if you're not able to see either of it then it means that the device is not detected by your desktop/laptop

hey uhh I didnt really get how to put unity up on your headset screen, I watched the video multiple times, its connected to the dev thingy, but how do u get unity up?

If you've all the steps mentioned in the video then you'll get the unity play mode automatically working on your headset. Anyway I'm planning to do video on the latest changes, it's not oculus integration anymore, it's maeta all in one SDK now and they've streamlined a lot of things...now the setup is very straight forward

Great tutorial thank! I have a question though. Would you happen to know why the Oculus menu tracks my head movement? I'm in the scene and when I hit the Oculus button the menu comes up and it's moving when I move, it almost looks like the scenes is moving it's disorienting and quite nauseating. I'm using XR Origin, the XR Interaction toolkit, Oculus Integration, Unity 2021.3.16. Would appreciate any information. I'm using your exact set up btw. Thanks!

If I understood your question rightly , you're talking about the oculus menu that pops up when you press on the "Oculus Home" button on the controller along with the buttons "Resume " and "Quit". That's the intended behavior of the OS on the Quest headset . You should not use the menu button for any purpose whatsoever inside your game / application. You are free to use any other controls.
