I can’t wait to just use the character customiser endlessly haha. It’s going to be an invaluable tool for artists! I hope they give us a range of clothing options and things too

Regarding facial mocap, is it possible to use Kinect instead of iOS devices? It would save android folks a lot.

Unfortunately no. U need to have a device that has true depth feature. Which only the iPhone X and up has it

Great walkthrough. Regarding the Animation results from Live Link, just know that these are still very good results. A LOT of Animation Cleanup is required for all Film/Games, even with the most powerful Face-Tracking softwares like Dynamixyz and Faceware. That's why animators/animation expertise is still needed and relevant, thankfully

When the Metahuman tech is fully released, you'll be able to export the model and animation data to a number of standardized formats. But that won't be released for probably a few more months.

I think, if this MetaHuman Creator let us bring our own clothes, hair of xgen, do changes in Zbrush... this will be great like CC3 is right now!

What graphics card are you using? I get around 30 fps with a 3080 near the guys face if I play it back in the viewport

I managed to import face rig in 3ds max. almost 900 bones + 650 morph targets. Instant FPS drop for games :)))

Can anybody explain what's the point of this? Yeah you can create a very realistic person, but then what? What's it for?

There are dozens of uses for this. Video game developers can use this to easily act out cutscenes or create character animations. VFX artists can integrate CG duplicates into movies. Filmmakers could make entire films acted out with CG people. The possibilities are endless

@@EnterTheCawdverse I wouldn't use Unreal for this specifically how ever, main issue is the light data can't be changed directly in shaders... in which means your limited still. How ever others may have some use for this, but I'll stick to CC3, and blender my self.

@@Anthonypython Can you explain? I don't use Unreal so I don't understand what you mean. You're saying you can't change the lighting? How's that? I've seen demos where new lighting setups have been added to scenes with these characters and the shaders appear to interact with the lighting changes.
