Ehm....we aren't so far away to have skynet. I saw a documentary about an App on a Phone in China or Korea. Don't remember. Its a girlfriend or boyfriend App for lonely people. The AI send messages and keep Conversations like a real person. The people saying it feels like talking with a real Person. This app is also used as a kind of an Assistent like Google or Siri. It collects a huge amount of data and learns constantly. Really scary thing.

Similar techniques have been used in film for a while already. Look at the "Laura & Logan VFX breakdown by Image Engine" here on youtube for just one example of a movie where you probably didn't realize those people were fully CG in several shots. But, you're right, this will certainly be used in film and there will just be more and more instances of replacing actors with full CG characters and as viewers, we're not even gonna notice. Especially now that more and more film productions are moving to virtual sets with Unreal Engine, this will hook almost seamlessly into that.

Cgi is also harder to work with where as filming real actors you just tell them to do things. Really depends on how people react when we get to that point. We can't know for sure till it happens. People in the Wright brothers time thought transcontinental flight would be impossible for hundreds of years, people believed books would make people's memories worse, and people thought advancing science would make people less religious when actually the opposite happened.

@@uditdhiman3088 You just need to be updated with these new technologies and tools and use them to your advantage. Sure these tools makes it easier but creativity, artistry and problem solving is hard to replace. You just need to adapt and incorporate these new things to your pipeline.
