i’ve never actually been on the cruise, but it’s a few days long and they perform, do acoustic sets, karaoke, play games with fans, have competitions, theme nights, meet and greets, q&a’s, etc… it’s basically a few days of nonstop interaction with them :)

Little fun fact that I know you guys will particularly love; The Backstreet Boys were singing in diners, hotel lobbies, malls, and high school auditoriums in 1993 when they met Max Martin a producer for what was then known as Jive Records at a diner. They asked for an opportunity, and he’d initially brushed them off but after they begged he gave in and told them to meet him at his studio at 10 the next morning. The boys said they could sing right there, and launched into an acapella rendition of their later platinum hit “I’ll Never Break Your Heart”. Max Martin later said he got I stand goosebumps and knew he had to sign them. Not many people today remember what Acapella was and how much it defined music in the 80’s and 90’s.

They have 10 albums! Thank you for the kind words addressed to Nick. It's really not easy for him
@crazziebunnie2 жыл бұрын
If I'm remembering correctly, as of right now it would be 10 albums internationally and 9 albums in the USA. The reason behind that is when they first started they were huge in Europe first then music carried over to Canada, then due to some radio stations on board towns their music got back to the USA. I think at the same time when they were huge in Canada and Europe, places in South America got their music too (but I could be wrong). :P

I didn’t realize how new this video was until you mentioned Aaron. Thankful the European leg ended just a couple days after Aaron died, and Nick is now at home with his wife and kids.

a BSB cruise is not a place for kids, the boys and the fans goes crazy but sure is fun
@crochetingcanuck2 жыл бұрын
BSB cruises are usually 5 days, and there are different shows/events with the boys every day. You literally party with them daily. On at least one of them they stopped at a private island and had a beach party. It's wild and crazy, and loud and crowded like their concerts. I definitely would not bring kids.

AJ McLean's voice is Phenomenal! He just oozes Soul!! Check out his solo song "Boy and a Man" official video. AJ has insane talent, so Soulful!! They're all talented. Some People may not like them but they all have talent. No one can take that away from them! They've been together for about 30 years. These guys are seasoned, to put it mildly. They have 10 studio albums, 1 live album, 3 compilation albums, 31+ singles, and 33+ videos and counting. My numbers may be a little off but it's pretty close. They do not look like they are slowing down anytime soon, thankfully. Check out their songs/videos for "Show Em' (What You're Made Of)" and "Incomplete".

@@ortheosapolloson1197 they were all crazy especially on the earlier ones (2010-2013).. but they kinda mellowed out later on.. I heard they won't be doing cruises anymore, hope it's not true

@@lindaachieng8652 hopefully they keep going with the cruises. This performance silences the haters. Backstreet Boys were never a boy band, same with Boyz 2 Men, Jodeci and Shai. None of those groups are boy bands, they are vocal harmony groups.

It's a shame what happened to Brian Littrell's voice & if you don't know . He caught the swine flu back in 2013 or 2014 & then he developed a condition where his muscles around his vocal cords will tighten up & cut off the air supply in his throat . Go & listen to the song That's What She Said & then listen to this again & you'll hear the difference in his voice .
@lauriehand10212 жыл бұрын
That’s unrelated to what happened to his voice. He has vocal tension dysphonia and dystonia. Basically it’s a stress induced nerve disorder that causes the the muscles in his vocal cords to become tense and basically chokes out his voice. He also has vocal cord spasms. But I just saw them last month. He struggles at times but it’s not constant. Only once in their entire performance did it sound like he really had a struggle moment. Seconds later he hit a perfect high note!
@lauriehand10212 жыл бұрын
Forgot to add, this performance was after he developed the condition.

Actually he got swine flu in 2009. By 2013 he was already struggling with dystonia & dysphonia.

Aka not acting like a child over real talent. You don’t have to like the genre to appreciate the talent.
