BURST OF AWESOME!!! LMAO!!! They’ve had 3 vocalists. Mike was the 2nd and 4th in 2 different stints with them as their singer. So I saw Metal Church live in 1986 touring for their 2nd album The Dark. The band opening was called Heretic and this lead singer was the singer of that band. I was 19 at that concert. Mike the singer here, then in Heretic was slapping hands in the audience and I was like 3-4 rows back standing on my top toes with my hand outstretched. He grabbed my hand and wildly shook it. I opened my hand to let go but he didn’t. He drug me through the extreme right side of the crowd to the furthest left side and back again before letting go. Took a lot of rib shots from elbows lol. I saw Metal Church in 2016 open for Megadeth. I met them at the merch booth between groups and told Mike that story. I got pictures with all the band members and they all signed my paper printout ticket around where it says Metal Church. Also at the show was Butcher Babies, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church, Amon Amarth and then Megadeth. Sadly Mike hung himself in July 2021. He was amazing. RIP MIKE HOWE. Also if you do anything live with Mike on vocals after 2016, he loves to bounce up and down on stage. Lots of fun to watch. Definitely gonna be missed. They also redid this song on the last album with Mike Howe and Queensryche’s lead singer sharing the vocals. It’s EPIC!!!!

So sad and shocking to hear about Metal Church singer Mike Howes sudden passing. There will never be another Mike Howe. Nobody sounds liks Mike and Mike sounded like no one else. A voice so unique. This is tough to swallow. My condolences to Mike's family and bandmates.

Before Mike Howe, The vocalist was David Wayne-R.I.P. who had an amazing voice, Their Debut album with Wayne singing, "Metal Church" is a must-listen for every metal fan, the second album " TheDark" has their break out song "Watch the Children Pray" and is also solid. Howe left the band around 1996 and returned in 2015 until now.

my hometown boys!!!! Aberdeen,Washington rocks. They toured with Metalica twice. Guitarist John Marshal subbed for James Hetfield on tour when he was injured on stage. These guys tore it up on stage!!

David was a close friend of mine🤘 I am from Yakima WA... David used to teach singing lessons at our local music store... Shortly before his unfortunate demise.... David had to have one of the most COMMANDING METAL VOCALS EVER 👌 Granted his replacement from the band Heretic was and is still badass... But nobody has a voice like David the original singer for this band ...

You wouldn't know with this song, but Mike howe probably has one of the most beautiful soft singing vocals in the metal industry during that time. Badlands, Anthem to the estranged, of unsound mind. All songs from the blessing in disguise album and probably some of the best songs during that period.

Cool! That was my first metal festival at age 14! I live just 25km/16miles from that terrain:) In 1995/96 that festival was overdcrowded with 100.000 Germans and 40.000 people...

Nice to see Duke Erickson on bass, Kirk Arrington on drums, Craig Wells on lead guitar. John Marshall on rhythm guitar. Mike Howe doing a great job after he took over from David Wayne RIP. Kurdt Vanderhoof taking a break from the band. Howe left in 1996 to be with his family. Returned in 2015 and are still going strong. Shorter hair, looking older but still slim lined

David Wayne was the voice of Metal Church. Mike Howe is! Ronnie Munroe was amazing. All respectfully great Metal vocalists. I did warm up to Mr.Munroe quickly. It took me some spins when Mr.Howe first arrived. Alas each era kept me captivated. To the point of possessing all domestic studio releases. Rock on Kurdt and Co. in any configuration.Your discography should be ranked with Metal's elite🤘!
