Saw these guys open for Metallica in 1991 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Amphitheater was 3/4 empty I was right down front it was as if they were playing a personal show for me. I love Metal Church

I saw these guys in a bar called jimmy z's in Everett, Wa , there was maybe 200 people tops , it was so incredible , I couldnt hear for 3 days after . After Mike left , David was a perfect fit for Metal Church , I really wish they would have stuck it out . Ronney is ok I really like his voice , but he will never have that quintessential Metal Church sound like David or Mike .

I don't know if their GOTH METAL! GOTH metal to me is Type O negative, Cradle of Filth, Eleven Shadows, Moonspell, Spiral Trance, Ancient...etc. Metal Church is HEAVY Metal with a dark lyrical content. My buddies used to call it Thrash! like Ovekill, Dark Angel, Nasty Savage, Fates Warning, and all those metal blade dark thrash bands back in the 80's the list goes on.........

well, I've even heard people label Fates Warning as Goth but that's wrong - it might be dark but not goth. "Goth" or "Gothic" metal would refer to bands such as Theatre of Tragedy, Type O Negative, My Dying Bride, Cradle of Filth, etc.. or metal bands who have been influenced by the 80's goth groups like The Cure, Joy Division and Siouxsie and the Banshees. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just saying that there is an established genre called goth metal, that MC doesn't fit into.
