Very nice permission and another awesome video! Thank you Kenny. I remember about a year ago i researched a similar property, talked to the older lady who owned it,,and she said "'Don't even think about it,just get it out of you're head'.' Win some lose some i guess,lol. I guess we all may have some that memorable.

That trip produced some really nice finds! And the history on these places you hunt is to me equally interesting. It's the "context" that makes the finds more meaningful in my opinion even if sometimes the history is only a house was there on year and then wasn't! Here outside of Chicago the ground is pretty solid right now but I sure am looking forward to that first thaw to get back out myself!

Please keep making these videos Kenny. No matter what you do these days, there will be a few haters. Please know that people like me, and many, many others enjoy watching you metal detect. (subscribed). Your style and determination keep me coming back to KZbin to see if you have uploaded any videos. My father and I like to detect also, and we have taken a lot of tips and expert advise from your channel. I am thinking about purchasing the Minelab Equinox 800. I was looking into the V3I, and had the chance to test one in the field, but after watching some of your videos the 800 seems a little bit better for coin hunters like me and my dad. I watch your videos with him, and we take away many key details. He is a retired physics and calculus teacher, and really loves the hobby, and even though he is getting up there in age (76), he still comes out and digs targets with me. I just cut concrete for a living. I know this comment is very long and I apologize, but I thought you needed to know that you are appreciated from more angles than you might realize.
@squarenailsquirrel96385 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words and I appreciate it. You can have long messages, it’s totally fine. I am glad that the videos help out where they have but remember I’m just like you. I learn from using my machine as well as any kind of literature that I can find. The community of people out there in this hobby are some of the best and I’ve also learned many things from them. What I am relaying in the videos is all of that combined into my own thoughts. If you stick with a hobby you also have a chance to teach somebody else someday that is either in the Hobby or interested in the hobby. I believe That metal detecting is a gradual learning curve until you feel confident and feeling confident it’s pretty much 50% of the hobby with the other 50% being enjoyment. Just so you know I used to work construction and work in concrete, I also used to be a painter for my father. There are many seasons in our life and with each and every one of them they teach us something about ourselves.

Prior to finding you on KZbin I had a White's DFX and a V3i. I still have them. I've watched all of your videos. When you made the switch to the Equinox 800 last year, I did the same because I wanted to learn the machine from you. Then summer hit and none of my detectors made it out of the closet including the new 800. I got back on KZbin this winter and looked for new videos from you but didn't find any. I'm so glad you're back. Your videos make a person want to get out and hunt treasure. I have a renewed energy to try and make time this summer for something I enjoy doing. Thank you.

Glad to hear you are back on here and feel the urge to get out and detect. I actually prefer fall, winter and spring for detecting... summer not so much. Try to get out if your able while the ground is moist, my machines always respond much deeper this time of year and digging is much easier.

I was surprised with the dime... someday I hope to find a seated dime. Seems like I can get in the right date range for the old silver but it's very rare to find it. I always put it off on modern time... how many times have you found a $10 bill? Once in my life I found one laying in a parking lot around Christmas time... but I have found hundreds of pennies and dimes laying around. I guess people just held super tight to the larger silver coins back in the day.
