I couldn't believe how many Civil War relics, old coins and other things were still buried in the ground at this old park! I had an absolute blast metal detecting and Finding America using my new Minelab Manticore and the M8 coil.

There is an old Bed and Breakfast place in Valley Head Alabama, that was built during the civil war. There is a ton of iron in the yard of that place, but the owner said that the guy next door to him was doing some remodel work on his house and found a 50 dollar gold coin, so you might want to go there to look. He doesn't mind letting you detect his place at the Bed and Breakfast. You won't have any problem finding his place, It is the largest place there, and right off the main street, which is Hwy. 48 , going right thru town. Not much to the town, a gas station, police station, and a couple of shops

@@gregrainwater9658 I did hunt for a long time, I used a Whites Eagle ll SL which was a computerized and easy for me to understand. I traded it for the Equinox 800 and I could not get the hang of it so I sold it. I don't have one now, but I still wish I could be out there finding treasure. The town is Valley Head, near Mentone Alabama, and about 14 miles East of Fort Payne. My first cousins last name is Rainwater by the way. If you had an Eagle ll, I wouldn't mind tagging along with you

The things we learn form watching Finding America. I now know everything 😂 about Bartholow 44 pistol bullet. Has collector value and was junk as a bullet so there are not many of them around.

I'm curious......with the nickels......do you get a decent signal with those? My detector (even if it's on the surface) barely beeps going over any nickels. Copper and aluminum......screams, but nickel and even some silver.....barely squeaks. I've tried every mode. Probly a detector issue? Maybe mines been overused and is really burned out. Lol. And I love the patina of the 1920 penny and indian. Beautiful!

Wow Greg great hunt! Ive been hunting all over Tennessee for a while now. I mostly find trash. Im hunting with a vanquish 540. I do better in other states because there is less trash. I guess it's time to upgrade. My question for You is, is the manticore worth the price compared to the equinox 900? Thanks for the content

Just hunting in All Terrain General with the presets. The only thing I have changed is the sensitivity number adjusted to the site and I like to run the threshold level at 4 instead of 0.

You should never clean a coin that might have numismatic value and you can find the values for the 1909-P VDB on sites like PCGS. ATB Greg
