A lot of potential at this site, but it’s a battle getting the coil to the soil!

Yeah, it surprised me because I wasn’t expecting a coin due to the patchy signal. Thanks for watching!

Hey Steve - Only a few targets but it is always a buzz to find good stuff after doing some research and identifying possible sites. It is a patience game but also good to get out and about

Yeah, Mick put us on to a great site with huge potential - just need to wait for the grass to be slashed… Thanks for watching!

Good results mate. I was surprised how high that penny read in the water. Thought it was silver as well. I have been looking for locations around Sydney, but a lot have been built over, or the massive amount surface rubbish is masking the good targets.

Those older Brit Pennies and half pennies are pure copper, so they can definitely sound like silver coins at times. I was definitely hoping for an old florin though. Old ground is very hard to find, although if you look for old parks in the outer suburbs and towns you could do pretty well. It’s also worth considering rocky river edges and coastline, as coins tend to get caught in the rocks and don’t move too far. Good luck and happy hunting!
