BINGO! That 1/4 rupee is cool as. Quick research shows that it's a Bombay mint (according to the shape of the 4). Another cool fact is its 91.7% silver. Nice bit of fancy on the buckle 👌 I was one of those who cleared the 👃 for the big wild silver sniff and missed out haha. Thanks for the entertainment 👍

Nice finds and the 1/4 Rupee is a treat. People may wonder why you wear snake gaiter, that scorpion would be one reason. Nothing like walking around critters that will bite you. Thanks for the video.

Gday Marta. Very happy with the coin. We have seen a snake in our yard this year already. Gaiters are a nice bit of protection. Yes everything does seem to be out to get us🤣🤣. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍

Another great video. Love that you still have firsts even after all your years of detecting. That’s one of the best things about this hobby of ours. You never know what you’re going to find. An 1840 1/4 Rupee… bet you didn’t wake up thinking I could find one of them today! Also… wish I knew how to do the computery stuff like Viv… adding an image of a coin like that. Very talented 🤩👍 Catch you next time legend! 🦟 🐜 🌸

An amazing coin to have found, Mr Coffee Bush Kid! We'd wondered if any of the regiments that left the coastal defences parties, at Westernport Bay, Swan River, and Melville Island, the 57th Reg of Foot & 3rd West Sussex Whatsits, who left 1828-9 to join the Madras Private Company, may have then been returning this way a decade later? What's the period of military service that allows leave and settlement of their choice, I'd wonder? Ships were HMSes Isabella I & II, & HMSes Dragon and Fly! (HMS Fly was broken up in Madras in 1845). Nicely coincides with your reception to the Order of Odonata, what a buzz! We make a bad transformer buzzing noise when one hovers over the lawn, they circle us to inspect what's the buzzes are about. Outside our door was a very large Rufous Net-Casting Spider, doing it's best to look like a giant stick insect! Excellent viewing, and while the bingo card items aren't always a given, we knew a Hyams with the specific London Jewish apparel trades family background, we revel in the thrill of the bouquet-listers, could easily be a Kashmiri silver quarter rupee! We're fond of our overprinted "CEF" Chinese Expeditionary Forces Indian stamps with the old Queen Victoria portrait, but nicest an 8 rupee young Vicky mint revenue stamp, but you can't metal detect those, although buried ginger and glass jars with stashes of coins and paper currency items have been found. I may dream on. Happy swinging!

Everything about the Scorpion says" Don't mess with me" There were plenty on the farm where I lived as a kid, the smaller variety, you couldn't move anything without coming across them, but not once was I stung, and my current location seems to have a pretty good share of them too. Didn't appreciate finding one under my shoe one morning, swept it outside where it belonged, surprised it was still alive, being so close to something that's been on my feet, I'm pretty sure a few of my socks have crawled away to die somewhere, poor things! They didn't put a lot of effort into naming that spider did they, What do Joe, you reckon, red and black or black and red?.. Ah! Stuff it! Toss a coin ands let's get to the pub. Oh! Loki you! You found a robe and rivet, you must have been sooo um, ah! Nup! Can't find the appropriate words. But I'm sure you had a few that you wisely kept to yourself. I think it must have been the surprise origin of the Rupee that pushed the required silver sniff from your thoughts, and mine! Mmm! Spicy! It had a bit of a ying and yang look to it too. Cheers Andrew Cheers Viv! Take care, Hooroo!

In current usage, it refers to a file with teeth of a grade slightly finer than coarse, making it ideal for tasks that require a cut between coarse and second cut. Despite the seemingly unusual name, the word “bastard” here actually signifies its irregularity in the file classification, not its derogatory connotation.
