One has to stop and think about this; those who lived in that cabin. What did they do, whats their names, where did they go for supplies, were they farmers? Finding those buttons tell only a small part of who lived there. Awesome finds guys!

You know it's a true day of detecting when; boat to get there, must bring food, find a cache of history, get home wearing the ground, sleep like a log. I love boating to sites, most are less disturbed by development and detectors here in Maine.

I hare mosquitoes! Them and ticks are the main reason I don't do a lot of things in the summer. Here in Kansas we have mosquitoes as big as quarters and ticks as small as a pencil dots and they both carry very bad germs for horrible diseases. I don't want to get any of them. So I go along with you and Daisy. It might not be as much fun as finding the reassure myself but I enjoy watching you very much! Please be careful and stay safe. ❤❤❤

That's thoughtful, but here in Ga. & SC we have everything that bites & flies. Micro ticks, mosquitos that come in like helicopters. Chiggers. Sand gnats, biting flies, yellow flies, deer flies. No seeums.

daisy needs instructing the first shovels of plug making more right angle, full circle before you tip your tool to lift ,even when roots discourage .not like a dart board central aiming ,up and down first . i was a ditch digger for pipe for houses before machines , like nice straight walls ,ha ha.

Went to Canada years ago. The sketers were so thick, their buzzing would wake us in the morning. Brought deet bug repellent and a couple drops, it lasted all dayand they left us alone. Once in awhile one would land on our arm, but quickly fly away. Daisy with horns! Nooo! But bet she'ld still look good despite them.
