Hi Gin the Treasure Coast is a great location. I wouldn't go to Daytona I would head to Vero Beach area! Thats where there are several 1715 Spanish shipwrecks. Wabasso beach is closeby also. Sebastian has the Mel Fisher Treasure & McLarty museums. The Best Western in Sebastian is best hotel. I dug a Spanish 8 reale on the beach there.

Hi Tom, I’ve hit all the beaches you mentioned and so far, had dismal luck. One of the locals told me today they are trucking in sand just to the North and it’s causing the beaches to be sanded in. Such a bummer. I’m going to try somewhere else tomorrow and hope for some luck on my last day. 🍀🍀🍀

Nice video. I'm partial to the f75. Had over 1k hours one one and it is the most ergonomic machine I've ever swung. Still have a 13" NEL tornado coil for it I would sell cheap if you're looking to punch even deeper to get them silver coins in that old field. TC, John.

I finally figured out there’s a setting to adjust so they don’t fuss with each other. 🙂. These fisher machines make the saddest little sound when you turn them off, like they are bummed you are quitting for the day. Cracks me up.😂

Great Hunt! That was fun, I love a coin spill but you seem to find multiples of them! One thing I’d like to carry with me is a rubber kneepad, I can’t squat down comfortably like you can. I like to get right on my knees once the plug is open. Great job and video! 🤗

Great video of Jean! Fisher F75 LTD is an excellent professional device, I have been walking with it for 3 years. An interesting place to search, a lot of coins, maybe there is silver, try to put a 13-inch coil, the depth will increase and you will catch the test coins. I do not have one (yet), but that Fisherr F75 LTD is a sweet all round machine. Also the 14 khz is sensitive to that gold jewelry. Happy hunting Gin.

Also be sure to take advantage of the VCO no-motion pinpointing on that thing. If surgeon level you can tell if the object is on edge.

It’s definitely impressed me on this first run. I really like the pinpoint feature on it and the 99 tones. You can literally hear that there’s more than one thing and that they are different. It will be fantastic if I can learn all those tones.🍀

@@LuckyGin Personally my standard search (park/old homesite) is to accept just below small foil and up. Single tone because I want to concentrate on threshold and the nuance of what's being acc/rej. For me seeing how the target vdi is reacting is the multi-tone alternative. Just incase you don't know? Pennies after 1983 are copper coated zinc and these stinken zincolns corrode rather quickly, but indian heads are of simular conductivity. Consider getting knee pads to kneel instead of squat.

One thing I've noticed (about myself) is on these coin spill finds my mind wonders back to who, Why, When did someone just decide to dump a bunch of coins?? I saw a video where a home site from the 1800's had a coin spill probably from someones collection in deep ash from their home burning down (north Dakota) and they also recovered a ton of old bottles that were listed as rare from deep ash piles. I'm so excited to get out and explore. I already live to nomadic life style in my trailer and truck.. NOW I just have to figure out which detector will be my first. I like the video's I've seen about the Nokta Makro The Legend detector but wow it seems to be way to advanced for my level. Have you done a review on the detector??

I've had some real nice 'bits and bobs' with mine over the years. If ever you decide to put a 5x10 Fisher White Elliptical DD on it for iron/naily areas, as part of your search coil combo, you'll have a very compEtant all-round machine, That combo is sound- out, in my op.

Thank you. It’s not too bad I guess but I sure don’t enjoy the blisters that Lesche gives me. Unfortunately using a shovel on my channel gets me many a troll comment by those who dream shovel use “inappropriate”.

@@LuckyGin Ahhh yes with time the Lesche Blisters become Lesche callouses, then you are good to go. lol Yes I've dealt with many people in the past about using shovels in parks saying i'm "giving the hobby a bad name" and "people will be offended you are damaging the park" , and "don't be a ghost and detect too much at the same park and "haunt it" I just kinda started doing the opposite and detected everyday where i wanted. I talked to everyone, answered all their questions, showed people how i put the plug back in perfectly, and stepped on it to make it look natural. In my opinion, the ones who could be a threat to the hobby are the ones who try to steer clear of others, use little digging tools and seem unfriendly. It makes them look sketchy like they are hiding something.

Been watching your vid's for quite some time and have been enjoying 'em all. May I inquire how you form site selection and develop research criteria?? Are "clearances" or permissions typically required?? If you fly, how do you manage to handle your equipment?? If driving, what is your vehicle of choice?? Trust I've not been invasive. Thank you.

Well thank you - I appreciate you popping by to share the adventure. Site selection and research varies a lot. Sometimes business keeps me from traveling and I use my local network or friends to find places to go. If I’m free to travel, then I pick a place I’d really like to go and then start the research process to see where it’s possible to detect and what permissions may be needed, etc. Sometimes I plan my trip because someone has invited me to come hunt with them. So far, I choose to drive. I haven’t tackled figuring out how to fly with my equipment yet. I will have to do that soon though, since I aim to get to the UK and hunt.

I actually love the Delta pitch. I thought I might given my background in linguistics - I’ve got a good ear for tone nuances. For sure I can already pick out the dime tone and looking forward to learning more of them. ❤️

I have a feeling you are right Mike, and this year is going to be phenomenal. I hadn’t looked too closely at the PayPal thing yet, but I think you make a good suggestion. I’ve had people ask if I had an Amazon wishlist too, so I guess I should do something. KZbin is rolling out a “super thanks” option, but so far only really big channels have access to it.
