Another excellent video with good production value. That might just be a Hollywood phrase, and if so, it just means that all the hard work that goes into the production of your videos -- the filming, different camera positions, editing, etc. -- are appreciated. You are definitely the best. Your explanation on what you find is clearly and with some ideas of what you think is what you found and that makes it very nice video. Understand the geographic location in which these heat makes you much harm, but in my country Mexico is very hot, I've been with my metal detector in places like the Sonoran Desert looking for antiques at 52 ° C = 125.60ºF and believe me with the sun still feels much heat. The truth when you love doing this do not pay much attention to heat. Good luck and a hug to beautiful Germany !!!

Hi Hans, glad you you found some interesting finds on that field. It is always worth returning to unproductive areas to give them a second chance just in case you have missed something. Nice to see that you detect slowly covering every inch of ground, unlike some people who must miss so much because they are moving to quick. As always GL & HH, looking forward to the next video. Colin.
@TerraGermaniaTG9 жыл бұрын
Colin King hello colin! i agree with you...even an unproductive field can contain something great. . .it's just not very pleasant to detect. the goldmaxx power has a very fast recovery and response speed but i found out that even this machine produces more good finds when swinging it slowly. . .of course it's also good for ground coverage. thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans

Hey Hans, next winter or even in summer, go look at the farm machinery in the barns... go to old farm equipment shows and look at the pieces that are used to make the machinery. Some of your finds are clearly pieces of tractors and plows, that cross with the hole in it looks like a adjustment lock. you loosen a lock nut, adjust the wheels or settings up or down, fit the adjustment lock into the corresponding grooves and then tighten the lock nut to hold it in that setting. just a guess, but maybe seeing different pieces that make up farm equipment will help you recognize them if you see them in the fields, while hunting. and give you something to do to increase your knowledge, in your down times. good luck, and thanx for the great shows

Hans my friend, the Germans that settled in Texas said it reminded them of parts of the homeland. Down in the Texas Hill Country the German rock masons built very beautiful homes and buildings. I believe all of your viewers could say they have a kindred spirit association to the town of Hanau. At least that would be a true assessment for those of us who have ever listened in awe to the telling of a fairy tale during our youth. Generations before Walt Disney began shaping our imaginations there were The Brothers Grimm and it is through them that we have our "six degrees of separation" with the town of Hanau.

you are so right about that. If only I had the idea on the field. It should be one of the main things to tell about hanau.

***** hello peter! thank you for watching my friend. . .i have the archaeological dig i could go to but on this day i couldn't make it as i had an appointment later on this day. . . the coins from 1874 onwards have no archaeological value and i keep these. . .but i don't really collect them. thank you for your kind comment! all the best, hans

I wounder if that small mid evil buckle was used for armor? I've seen like ones on early armor in museums. They were used to attache small and large armor bits.
@TerraGermaniaTG6 жыл бұрын
it's hard to say. . even if one can find reference pieces it doesn't mean that certain models of buckles were solely used for this purpose. designs were universally used and for different purposes. thank you for watching rachel :)

I've been watching Time Team and think I saw something similar like the "small crucifix". Check out Season 3 Episode 6 in Time Team. Can't really remember what part, sorry. Hope this helps.

Hi Terra Is it easy to get permit to detect in private land in Germany? I love Germany, and I would like, someday, to be there to find WWII relics.
@TerraGermaniaTG9 жыл бұрын
Pa' aquí, Pa' allá hello :) it's relatively easy to get permission form the land owners but the permission of the archaeological department is a bit more complicated to obtain. . .you have to apply for it and you have to make a class to learn all relevant rules. thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, hans

I now fully understand about the archaeolic dig . You must be completely honnored to be involved in the dig as you are quite an asset , with your love for relics. Dude if you ever find yourself in the United States , I have a solid connection to an excellent dig site in Fredrick, Virginia .. its my ex-brother in laws... I have the run of the place, he owns a huge spread . Lots of civil war relics ...Free stays , eats and beer !! Just say the word my Brother ! Right on Hans !

yes i am. . it's not self-evident to join digs like that as a metal detectorist. . the relation between archaeologists and detectorists is still a bit difficult due to the many night hawkers destroying our history. . . thank you for your kind invitation brother. . i appreciate it :) it sounds very good! all the best! hans

Hi Hans, Ganz tolle Funde mal wieder.
