Usually I would approach farmers and ask them face to face. This could be difficult with social distancing so you could always write to them or send over an email. I've had a bit of success that way as well. Good luck!

Usually I just chap the door and politely ask. Probably not the best time to be doing that just now with Covid. Down the line though, once things get better, that is always my preferred approach. Good luck mate 👍

Years ago I found an old coin I was still at school and asked my Classics teacher about it he said it was a very old Dubloon and I never got it back of him tut so guessing it was worth something x
