May I ask what areas are y’all detecting in? I live near Labadiville and I understand there was a battle or something near here that pushed the troops back to Thibodaux and I’ve been wanting to go in the sugar cane fields and try but I haven’t built up the confidence yet.

Hey Bill Yes your in a great area. Battle of the 4 crossings and George’s landing are great spots to start near you. Make sure to ask permission from the farmers. Have not been there in a while but one of the farmers is Randy and at George’s is mr Brian H.

Help a New Orleans good fella out I’ll take one of your throw sway fields anything I have found tremendous things in New Orleans but I bet there’s nothing like hot in the field a plowed field that is I’m used to hitting that hard dirt or wherever I can that’s public property but I do quite well from French cannonballs to 3 8 reales name it but I hunt often and I hunt hard. I will Metal Detect for hours just if there’s a possibility that there’s a confederate bullet because all I’ve gotten is dropped three wranglers but there’s nothing more beautiful than that smooth confederate bullet. If you feeling good one dayAnd you wanna throw this good old boy a bone please think about me I don’t drink (anymore) but I’ll bring y’all a quesadilla you know how we do it

When I am in a spot Civil war relics are present I dig every repeater even the loud can signals. The spot we were hunting was right next to the road and we find lots of aluminum mixed with the good targets. Probably dug over 100 holes that day to get several good digs. I sell Minelab-XP Deus-Garret and Nokta Makro Gulf South Detectors. Love my XP Deus My go to relic detector.
