Metal detecting colonial copper coins, buttons and other cool treasure with the "Relic Recoverist " Jocelyn Elisabeth and her friend Drew. This new permission was large and we had to search the whole farm to find the hotspot, and we found it! It was a fantastic metal detecting adventure with good friends. I hope you enjoy!
Check out Jocelyn's channel here and don't forget to subscribe! Thanks.

So I'm watching this video at work tonight on a laptop. I was listening while I did paperwork and I turn around and 4 people are crowded around all watching Chigg! I told everyone the channel name and how cool it was. A while later I go to leave and there are seriously like 10 people all watching in our break room! Chigg has infested my plant! No need to mention social distancing or anything. We work in a super clean and sanitized environment. We have no choice but to be in close proximity to each other every day. We are extremely careful about cleaning and sanitation. We have been for many years before this started. We produce food that many people watching this eat every day lol.

Really great video! Ive been detecting a little over a year. I was given a Garrett ACE 300 as a christmas present in 2016. Growing up I was obsessed with hunting native american artifacts. I now have a new obsession. I spend most of my "tv time" watching you, Ms. J.E and Nugget. You guys have been instrumental in my success thus far and I look forward everyday to new postings. On saturday I found, amongst other things an 1892 indian head which i was very happy with, but on Sunday afternoon I decided to check out a spot on our farm that supposedly was the site of a house many many years ago after finding a lost earring for my sister in law. I only had about an hour before dark so I was only going to dig good solid targets, target #1 was an old shotgun shell. Target #2.... 1858 seated half dime. I lost my mind, 1st silver, 1st pre civil war coin and beat my oldest coin by 30 years. Needless to say its going to be a long week waiting to get back out there. Anyway, I say all this to say thank you for what you guys do. The entertainment is great, but the education is priceless! Thanks again.

The clasp you found is a clog clasp dating to the 1700's. It was part of a 2 piece setup with the other side being called a clog clip. A friend of mine in Scotland finds them all the time and said they were common back then on the fancier men's shoes of the day.

This was a great video! I like it when you have animated and interesting partners like Jocelyn and Drew. Sad to see all the people who are uptight and paranoid about your friendship with Jocelyn. Clearly you two have great chemistry (doesn't have to be sexual!) and it's fun to watch. If you trust your partner and have a genuinely reciprocal relationship, none of this behavior is out of line. Anyway, I'd like to see more videos with you and Jocelyn!

I think it's a dinosaur. In the 1800s when people were blast-mining parts of North America, lots of dinosaur fossils were discovered and there was a "dino-craze" for a while before the Civil War. Most people in Europe and the West didn't know about dinosaurs until the 1800s, so it would seem pretty likely that small dinosaur toys would be popular around the time period that a lot of relics were found on this site.

It was actually the early 1800s when blast-miners began to find dinosaur fossils in the West and Midwest, and the findings were widely published in newspapers out East. There was a sort of "dino-craze" when these fossils were discovered, so it's likely someone made this toy as a result of their child's obsession with dinosaurs.

Apologies if someone already let you know - The clasp you show in your round up - there are two parts there, one the 'male' and one the 'female' - which clasp together, they are clog clasps, used to fasten a wooden soled leather-upper clog shoe. Here's a link to the Colchester (UK) club page showing more, and how they're used. - www.colchestertreasurehunting.co.uk/C/clogfasteners.htm As you will read, these shoes also called 'sabots' as the French and others called them. These are the wooden shoes which were thrown into mill machinery by protestors to 'sabot-age' them - your Fine Finds Fact For The Day! :)
