Thx for taking the time. Mine came today, sadly missed the water hunting season here- but your videos is encouraging. I think this machine will be a great addition to the stable that’ll do alot of things for a great price. Having owned the racer- the vibration mode is nice. Went to the beach and forgot headphones- the vibration option allowed me to hunt tight at the tide line w/with waves crashing nearby. Also made me a bit more comfortable than wearing headphones in public at night in the dark

Purchased two of the Simplex detectors for my adult kids for Christmas, as well as the Nokta Pinpointer and very hard to find retractable lanyards for them. We went out on Christmas day, as it was warm day there in central NJ, whilst visiting relatives. The 1.5 acre property my mom lives on includes George Washington as one of the original landowners, as part of a larger tract he had. We couldn't go an inch in the back property area without it coming across some target or another. The refresh rate was excellent, and seemed to dileanate each target quite well as it was making sweeps. They were immediately hooked and pulled up just about anything that gave a solid register. All types of iron etc., so we decided to lean things down a bit as part of a quick tutorial I gave them on the basics and ( I am barely an intermediate detectorist myself). My newly enlightened duo were having so much fun I decided to cobble some $ to purchase the Simplex, pinpointer etc. for my wife and I. The family that plays together says together. Nice job Nokta, and thank you Matt for this fine video.

Good video and series of tests. It's really hard to find anybody on KZbin that says anything bad about this detector, but when you put it up against the Minelab Vanquish which costs about the same amount of money the Vanquish destroys it. The biggest complaint I see people reporting with this machine is how chattery it is on land. The second most common one is that it does not give a Target ID on deeper stuff. Myself, I'm not crazy about the tones. Whenever I come across a beginner looking to buy a machine I recommend the Vanquish over the simplex.

Vibration modes were designed for the deaf. Same with handheld pin pointers with just a vibration feature. They're helpful and convenient to anyone who doesn't want to hear the beeping, and just wants to go off feel, but the deaf is what vibration is for. I'm hearing impaired and can hear the beeps just fine, but it's nice to know that the Nokta's Simplex offers a mode that many other manufacturers don't put in their machines, making metal detecting a great hobby for people who can't hear at all.

hi there I am from Scotland just bought on off these detectors as my first one never done this before watching all vids on youtube and there is one done on a beach in Scotland on wet sand and the manufacturer suggested to the user to turn the ground balance down to 0 a bit confusing as any other vid shows the auto ground balance will get the url for you to see
@SwampKritter5 жыл бұрын
Well honestly if you have good ground with no mineralization there is no need to ground balance. The machine will just cancel out at its factory setting whatever that may be, if you have bad ground, highly mineralized or are on a salt beach then yes you need to manually GB the machine to get the best performance

I really love my XP Orx and my Deus now they are super light weight, super deep and have one of the best iron disc capabilities on the market, any machine can be a good machine in the right hands.
