One man's trash... Great finds today. That penny was in excellent condition. Thank you for taking us along. I really enjoy you getting excited over machining. I have done a bit of it, but work as a welder. So, I understand. Most people people don't want to shop for welded things with me. I am sure you are the same with machined items. Have a great day.

Gday Marta. Old machined things and old machines are brilliant. I once pulled a 1920s power hacksaw out of the mud and recoed it. Big flywheel and conrods. Hypnotic to watch it cut steel. Glad you enjoy watching. Take care cobber 🦘🦘😁👍

@@TheCoffeeBushKid I know what you mean. My dad used to call me to repair things. I welded a small engine block one time. He machined it back to speck. It worked. He had a machine shop at home to make parts. The best was fixing tubas for the marching band of my children's school. It can be fun to fix or build things. Enjoy your week.

The 36 penny will do it every time, that heart stopping moment of possibilities. Dashed once again, 3 Million of them made, So the chance is still there, small but possible! But still a good looking 36'er just the same, Ive heard it said that the Schrader valve stem caps were made for the Model T Ford, I can't imagine that they would be exclusive to the one car maker. But what do I know! Only one glass bottle stopper in my collection so far, a bucket lister off the list!... It's got to be a kookaburra, great badge! The sniffer had it's regular workout once again, Hi Ho Silver, and Sniff! I'm well and truly over the cold weather, but the cold weather doesn't seem to be well and truly over. Oh! To be warm again! Watched this yesty, just!... Phone run out of juice at the very end, decided to to conserve the solar batteries for the fridge, which didn't help. Phone's fully charged now, That's why I'm here to bother you again!... Good on you Andrew! Cheers Mate!

Gday Wayne. Yes it was a good condition heart stopping’36. Yes too I get told that the schraders were off model T’s. There were millions of them made. Congrats on the stopper. It is a funny looking kookaburra if it is one but yes still a cool badge. Good to hear you are all juiced up again. Catch you next time 😁👍

Another fine outing, Andrew, detecting and mudlarking- beep, beep, and peep, peep! We, too, fairly reached for the glyceryl trinitrate, perhaps someday, you'll be so panicked, gripping your left armpit vigorously... even the 1931 penny, regular or dropped "1", are sought after. Nice upcycling the little bottles as lighting, we're unsure if we've asked if you've come by little bottles that have on their base a representation of a fist gripping a bolt of lightning? ⚡🤛 We've a couple that still are corked, and a dark red/brown emulsion still within. I'd take it to the airport for analysis, but aren't that confounded by what's been compounded, the unopened insecticide tubes with lovely paper labels are also safely stored, airtight, with lots of dessicant satchels, under lock and key. We'd saved a hoard of a closed veterinary practitioner, one of the founders of the Victorian GPs college, an "NTHS" doctor's satchel, I thought "N.T. Health Service", but sadly, alas, nah! Doctor Nathaniel Theodore Hannaford Shaeffer!! (harrumph)🧐😅 Good luck CBK & Viv, organising the overseas orienteering excursion, very much hoping you'll get all three podium positions of "hammered", gold, silver and bronze! Three cheers, then!

Gday Gabi. It is cool what you can find by just looking. Yes the penny was a bit of a heart stopper. Viv is the one who did the bottle lights. Had to do something with them all. Nice save with your bottles. Reckon I might be able to find the silver and bronze over there. Something gold over there would be amazing. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍

Howdy Andrew, Congratulations on the 5K subscribers. I remember finding your channel 4 years ago and waiting with breathless anticipation for you to hit 1K so I could win that shadow box full of wonderful Aussie treasures. I didn't win the box but I did make a couple of new friends with you and the best editor on You Tube aka Viv. That's a better prize. I don't know how your going to fit all 5,000 of us in your suitcase when you head to Great Britain in a couple weeks but I guess you two will figure it out. Enjoyed the video as always. Maybe your half a cavalryman can keep Roland the headless machine gunner company. Hope you and Viv are doing well. Jan and I are. Your buddy, Roelf
@TheCoffeeBushKid4 ай бұрын
Gday Roelf. It certainly has been awhile that you’ve been following us. Viv is the best editor. Would not be here without her. Viv says that you have first class seats in the suitcase. Considering it is going to be filled with a detector, digging gear, socks and jocks, it might be interesting where you are put😜. Glad you are both well. We are too. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍

Great video as usual. FYI. Mont Park was a mental hospital in the northern Melbourne suburb of McLeod. It was closed down about 20 odd years ago when these sorts of places became politically wrong. I think it has since become a housing estate. Cheers, John.
