Yep that little flutter on the first target was the telltale for deep iron. As you know, it gives a high tone because of the iron halo effect - the "ring" of mineralization particles from the rusting. Great tips! I love your sonar program 😁👍

gardansolyn good point - thanks Gary - I tend to use full tones on most settings as without the box I don’t have as easy access to lines and numbers... I do like just relying on the audio though ... stay lucky!

Hi there, I just got a second hand deus with hf coil and hs4 coil. I have just set up your sonar program. I have been been detecting for a few years but literally got my deus 2 hours ago. I have been using a legend and I do like it but just keep having the feeling I'm missing as much as I find. Anyway, just set up sonar and it comes up with a cross screen, I take it that is x and y screen. Does this program not have the horse shoe screen? Probably a stupit question but I don't have the instructions. Any good tips for me would be appreciated, should I get the Andy sibiach book? I will be watching your vids a lot for a while so I'm sure I'll pick it up. Just to say your very good at explaining things in a way I can understand pretty well so cheers bud! I'm in Cornwall by the way. Got my first hammered coins recently after 4 years detecting but really hoping for a Roman soon.
