Dirk is one badass drummer. Not only did he play for soilwork, Devin Townsend and now, Megadeth. He also played for Powermad.. one of thrash metals underrated bands IMO. And if I'm not mistaken he's on their latest album too. He also was in a band called Cadaver. Another killer metal band that you don't hear much about. I was fortunate enough to see Dirk play just last night here in Cincinnati Ohio. And he just devastated his drumkit like he was never gonna play again. It was amazing man. He's definitely in my top ten favorite drummers. You're on that top ten favorites list too Sam.. 🤘🤘 Keep up the amazing work man..

Ever so grateful for you @66Samus as your feedback videos introduced me to drumeo. I am a huge fan of all music, and although i cannot play drums, i have always upheld the highest respect for the drums. Drumeo and this series has pulled me through cancer and helped me occupy my mind when my body was failing. Having that said, I must give Dirk the highest praises for this performance- such a technical drummer and clearly a perfectionist. i love how he matches the energy of the song, his builds, timing, doesnt overplay the harmony- keeps with the tempo and what really needs praise is how he pushed his fills towards the end and married them with the double base- truely epic! I would love to have his version on my playlist

Dirk's drumming on Jeff Loomis's solo work was amazing. I saw a gig in RVA where he played a Loomis set and then played a Soilworks set right after as the headliner. I've been listening Megadeth since their first album and I must admit, as a fellow musician, Dirk is one of the best drummers I ever heard! My first instrument were drums back when I was 11, played them for almost 15 years then switched to guitar and bass but I still love to do a jam session or two with my friends... I also must admit the absence of practice is very noticeable 😂
