Don't stop with Nightwish PLEASE Maybe check out Beste Zangers 2019 with Floor, her she sings in German, Dutch, Spanish and English. It's no contest but 7 Dutch singers with one person in the centre and the others sing for him or her. Sabaton 'Ghost Division' live Woodstock Polen is a great live performence with 750.000 people

Bryan - Floor's definitely earned the right to laugh as you described, but she's way too modest and generous to do so. When she sings with others - Marko, Simone Simons from Epica etc - she has the ability to coax the best out of them without getting in their way.

Kai is a wonderfull technical drummer, but i think Jukka is the best live performer on his drum playing.

They are very different. Jukka is more of a natural drummer. Very groovy and playful. Kai is super technical with Rolex timing.

You can get away from Nightwish, but you can't escape Floor. She's everywhere these days! That being said, you won't find her in Unleash the Archers, but you will find kick ass vocals, unbelievably good guitar work and intricate drumming. I suggest starting with "Awakening." There's a great Full Band Playthrough you'll enjoy.

I hope you won't stay away from Nightwish for too long because there's so much cool stuff you haven't heard yet! As per other bands - definitely Sabaton (their drummer is Floor's husband, btw), perhaps Marko's solo material - or Tarot, his other band - to satisfy the Nightwish hordes? Sleep Token would be cool, I feel like they're not getting enough recognition and it's a really interesting project. I haven't seen anybody react to Dream Theater lately - their Distant Memories tour was the last 2020 show I went to before covid hit, and they're releasing a live show recording soon so it would be cool if you'd find the time :)

Great reaction video my friend. I love the 7/8 timing during the verse, which switches to 8/8 for the bridge. Jukka makes it work seemlessly. I have Jukka's drumstick right in front of me on the wall that I caught at the end of one of the Once Upon A Tour concerts in 2004! I even have the photo with him in the tour bus! What a memories! All of us OG Nightwish fans miss him so much :( Energy that he brought was just something else, what a beast he was! But if he had to leave then becasue of insomnia I'm more than happy he was replaced by his great friend Kai, who immediately became lovable part of the Nightwish family, amazing drummer and person!

This is one of my favorite Nightwish songs. Love it. Gonna miss Nightwish but try Unleash the Archers. They are a Canadian female fronted power metal band. Really awesome. Also check out Aryeon universe live videos. It’s like a sci-fi musical theater show performed by an all star cast of metal vocalists and musicians from around the world including Floor and Marko and many others. Really awesome.

Thank you for doing my favorite Nightwish song - I’m glad that you loved it too! I know that you’re taking a break from Nightwish, but when you _(hopefully)_ decide to go back to them, you should definitely take a look at the song “Tribal” from their new album _(there’s an official lyric video out)_. You’ll get to hear Kai Hahto go full throttle on the drums - it’s so insane, that he had to add 4-5 new drums to his already insane kit! As a drummer I just know you’d enjoy it SO much - so please please please do it :D If you’d rather stick to the older songs for now, you should definitely take a look at “Weak Fantasy” live from Tampere - Kai’s drumming is absolutely insane in this song too, and you you’ll also get to see Floor sing a song which was actually written for her, and not one of the previous singers ;) If I had to suggest a song by another band, I’d say “Amongst Stars” by Amorphis _(music video)_ - I know nothing about drumming, so it’s purely because it’s an epic song, featuring Anneke van Giersbergen as guest singer \m/

Check out Magma feat. Jannick Top & Klaus Blasquiz - Mekanik Kommandoh. I adore this band. They were founded in 1969 by classically trained drummer Christian Vander, who is phenomenal. There have been many line ups during the years, but he especially found equally phenomenal bassists and vocalists. It's prog rock, but absolutely unique, even down to him developing his own fictional language. I saw them live in Sheffield in the 70s. Unbelievable. This stuff will broaden your horizons and introduce you to some amazing musicians. Please watch, even if you choose not to react. I find this equally orgasmic and everyone's so much enjoying what they're doing.

You mentioned that VERY low note from Floor in the beginning. And she returned to that octave at least twice more. Those notes are in the Contralto range which is below the Alto range. You might want to listen to Anastasia Lee who is a legitimate Contralto. Floor otoh is a legitimate Soprano, as you can hear in this song and many others. I myself was shocked that she could reach the Contralto range, which gives her four octaves. Very few female singers, especially Sopranos, have that range.
