I mean, back then nobody but Armstrong knew what nanomachines were or how they worked, Sam kind of figured it out but his aproach wasn't better than Raiden's EDIT: Also, when you're fighting Armstrong and you call Doktor on the Codec (yes, you CAN use the Codec during boss fights, i recommend doing so) he has an idea on how Armstrong's nanomachines work, and gives Raiden a hint that he needs to take out his heart in order to kill him, Sam on the other hand, tried to be faster than the nanomachines' hardening so he could cut out Armstrong's limbs. As we all saw that didn't end well...

It sucks jetstream sam had to die, in a perfect world he would fight along side raiden But it was needed. Sam didn't believe in himself in his second fight against raiden and his fight against Armstrong which is why if raiden proved to be better then he could inherit his sword on his quest against Armstrong which Sam had already failed at. The fight with Sam allowed raiden to believe in his cause and in his fight.

If he had cut off the senator's head, then he wouldn't have had to accept anything. Just like Steven could have impaled Sam's head and didn't. After Sam's attack, it became a contest of who wins and not of choice, because, as I said, Sam chose to stay. Steven's ideology is not one that preaches forced someone to do something, but the choice, to fight or not. Codec is more than 6 hours, with this you learn a lot about the history of the game.

I think what makes the details really nice is how Sam adjusts the dismemberment process between fighting Armstrong and Raiden (the first time of course). Obviously when he cut Armstrong's hand off it left a sharp end which gave Armstrong the opportunity to surgically open up Sam's shoulder. After that, he adjusted it so that it wouldn't happen again, since we see that the remainder of Raiden's arm is just a clean horizontal cut. It's a pretty cool little detail that wouldn't have existed if not for the Sam DLC.

Sam's a Chad. -basically got beta access to boss. -the following boss including Blade Wolf also got improvised from the battle,one to have a fcking Agility for a Godzilla and one to have enough power for it's freedom. -Armstrong go second(maybe Third?) Pharse on him since the start. -Armstrong improvised from the fight and only needed one squat to fight Raiden. -Tanked Armstrong fist as a literal human and not losing consciousness. -Raiden improvised from their fight and got new body that can tank Nano machine. Sam was a beta tester

Same here man, but I'd be alright with it just coming to the PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, without a graphics update or anything because the game looks brilliant. And I bet that if this did get ported to the next generation consoles, people would still buy it even if they owned it on an older console because the game is THAT good.
