When Sundowner said that he is in very touch with his inner child and that kids are cruel, I came up with a theory: What if he was a kid that happened to get the same treatment? What if he got modeled to become a war machine after they reattached his brain and eyes to another body? Did you think of that?

While that theory is commendable and actually makes sense, the thing is there is 2 things wrong. Firstly he is too good at fighting, children wouldn't be as accurate or have the same will as him to actually fight, they are kids. Another thing is that if we knew when he became a cyborg then we could pinpoint it, but we can safely assume they started using kids brains for cyborgs in mgr.

But after looking up what the lyrics mean, they describe the technological and visual transformation of the environment suffered by the exploitation of natural resources and contamination by humans in order to obtain more and more. So you're close.

+WonderGirl2411 Not really badass at all. First time I've fought him, I didnt realise how exactly blademode works, so I ended up dodge-attacking him for couple of minutes. His reversal attack perfectly synched with invulnerability frames of that dodge-thingy.

Biggest challenge for me was not hitting the other shields in blade mode and taking damage. And there there was the whole slider flying part when I didn't know that I could use missiles to destroy obstacles....and because dying there game gave me D rank -_- I made it up on my hard play through though and got A rank.

He didn't write the full script, but he had control of it. Revengeance is fully canon. Do you really think Kojima would have let someone else touch Metal Gear without him overseeing it? The last time that happened was the America-only Snake's Revenge.

zoldator Not really though. His shield mechanic is horrible because you can easily just go back and stunlock him there. He needs a full AI, and like you said Health, modification. I'd say he's a lost cause however.

Just cut off his shields ASAP without doing much damage to him and then his song will play for most of the battle. IE equip the machete, keep at a distance, counter-parry when he charges and blade mode cut two shields off at a time. He should start the vocal section with a lot of health.

The thing is with this game is that it had two versions, Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The former had a storyline more tuned to that of the previous titles but it didn't compliment the gameplay, so when it shifted production Platinum Games scrapped it an made their own script while Kojima Productions kept it Metal Gear.

I did not find any problematic thing in game's tone... only problem was for me 'themes' of the areas... some places were too much 'metalic' and 'cybernetic' also a bit narrowish... but these things were only flaws for me... waiting eagerly for the sequel...

Though something can be said of the villains in this game. It's pictured right there on the screen! Harvesting the brains of orphans to use as child soldiers in massacres? That sounds like an evil plot you come up with to PARODY villainy! Sundowner in particular shows nothing to indicate he's anything other than a vicious war-monger. It's atypical of the franchise. That being said, I actually kind of like that! No moral ambiguity, just kickass heroism!
