Mgs 2 and deus ex really are deep thought provoking games, true masterpieces. I feel like most people who claim to be fans don't really talk about and understand the messages that mgs has and just use it as a "see games are political" argument while falling in a echo chamber and trying to censor people themselves which goes against what the game is trying to say. Iroquois pliskin's message perfectly conveys the message of the game, but I also question if people are real with you or trying to take advantage of you like what happens with Raiden. This line always stuck with me from Captain Diego in system shock 2 "I can not be circumvented, I can not be tricked, I can not be manipulated and I can not be bought"

Cajuns are not Quebecois; they were originally in Acadia, a French region within Nova Scotia, until they were exiled by the Brits due to years of fighting off the Redcoats, forcing the Crown to use legislation to root them out ("The Great Deportation"). Quebec did have an embassy down here in Lafayette, LA for about fifty years to maintain cultural ties, yet the PM shut it down and backstabbed us for political convenience.
