The “if you Force something back to gather it won’t be the same as it use to be despite good intentions.” quote Feels very sad and somber, It’s similar to were you broke a Vase and you did your best to fix as best you can, at the same time the vase will still of some cracks, meaning if Casca did come back what happen to her will still be there unless she decides to face her fears and wounds that she got from the eclipse.

The reboot and the old blood were nice, felt fresh but still classic in some way. But I can't help but think that RTCW will always be the superior game if you forgot the movie like storytelling.

In a short way to say my opinion of MCs but in my opinion Guts is the best one for this. Guts, struggles for the sake of struggling. He’s not an overpowered god or a tragic anti hero troupe. Guts, can’t run, and he can’t fight. If he runs, Griffith, and the demons will continue to hunt him, and the ones he cares for most. And he if fights, the Beast of Darkness will continue to feed on the violence Guts, can dish out till the blade (Guts’s Humanity) snaps. Guts can’t seek an happy ending no matter outcome. Killing Griffith, will not bring back the hawks. And running away will not stop the endless pursuit of the sacrifice. All Guts, has is to forge a path beyond what the tides of reality gives. Guts, struggles, for the sake of struggling. He’s not an heroic emo, and he’s not a villain of destruction and bloodlust. He’s a man deep down drowning in the tides of his pain. Guts, is the definition. Of a Struggler.

I think the main take away from this is not every villain has a point nor do they need one to be compelling. I think back to Batman TAS and why characters like Mr. Freeze stood out because the vast majority of villains were just evil and psychotic. He wouldn't be as memorable as he was if Joker, penguin,Bane, had some point or noble goal themselves.

As an Aussie that definitely has oikophobia, this is one of the only Aussie shows that I absolutely love. I'd also say that Ray's code of honour is generally how most Aussie's see most things, we usually don't give a fuck what you do unless you're affecting someone innocent.

My two favorite details in this wonderful game are when you do the ball buster move to women it doesn't work, and the sign that cheeky girl Olivia puts on genes back stays on for the entire game unless you activate the god hand then it disappears. They call it "the kick me sign challenge"

party of unreal being a flip flop between running well and running terribly is because it is a hard engine to use. as someone who is learning it myself its quite a beast and to top it off it uses C++ which is notoriously hard coding language. so alot of this could be skill issue. another thing is using Unreals preset, these are just general settings, and sure the defaults can look nice but you need to properly talor things like lighting maps to fit your game if not its just going to sap your performance. but all these issues are compounded by western development practices, short deadlines, firing senior staff, tons of beginners. These are already issues we had with devs using other engines now UE is going to be unfairly blamed for incompetence

@@kyon813 I actually GET that one, since one of the panels of the extended ending for chapter 139 features Mikasa, a child she carries, and a taller man with bright hair whose hairstyle resembles Jean's. But she also never ceases to visit his grave, even when she has no strength of her own, until she herself dies-- as in, she never forgot him like he asked her to. It's at least extremely unlikely that she got with Jean, a man she never showed interest in. At the very least, that would be some of the dirtiest macking in manga history on Jean's part. On the other hand, the weird joke is birthed out of this massive complex people had about post-timeskip Eren and how they felt him exuding hot anti-hero masculinity, which combined with what was originally a joke about him being Historia's baby daddy, and expectations of people who genuinely shipped him and Historia. The ending, and especially "that panel", produced a dissonance in some that was so severe that a lot of these people (who also were harboring complex misconceptions about the narrative even up until that moment) swung the other way and considered Eren [the opposite of "bull"]... completely missing the value of that incident for that chapter, the post-timeskip narrative overall, his character, and his relationships with his two best friends.

@@seg162 The anime completely left out any implication that Mikasa shacked up with anyone. That must have been one of the improvements they made. That seems to be the biggest mistake people made with interpreting the story: acting like Eren was anything but an ultimately pathetic, broken person. He was like that since the beginning, and he only got worse as the conflict got more complex. (Plus, you know the Historia theory is bullshit, because Eren wouldn't have done any of that utterly maidenless behavior in the timeskip if he'd gotten laid. /s)

What comments are you looking at that praises Dros as cool? Pretty much every discussion I've seen about this character is about his tragedy, about how he defines himself by his cowardice. The game makes it transparently clear that you're not really supposed to think he's cool but pitiable: he's disheveled and unkempt, mentally unwell, he hates the world around him and hates himself, he kills a man because of a made-up relationship he has with a woman who doesn't even know that he exists (not just that, but he sees her as a political ideal, a symbol), and he's set up as a tragic character representing a lost cause. Like, do you really honestly think that there is any sort of serious, prevailing opinion in the DE community that Dros is somehow *cool?*
