yes, the original plan for Metal Gear Rising. Before they gave the technical and, later, story development to Platinum games because Kojima and his team couldn't figure out how to finish the gameplay side.

Calling the original version of MGS2 (Albeit with the english voices) a "port" is wild and also misleading. It's not a port if it's the original running on intended hardware (the PS2). Later editions, including the xbox release with substance, are the actual ports (including the bluepoint HD release on the PS3 and Xbox 360).
