I literally thought the same exact thing the 1st time I played Snake Eater as a kid, cuz I loved the first 2 games. It was mostly the jungle setting that turned me off, but once I got used to it, I really loved it!!! The camo thing and hunting stuff was awesome! I now respect that they took Snake Eater in a different direction, it would've got kinda repetitive if they just making the games to place in bases, etc. To this day, MGS3 is my favorite adn some some of my favorite characters in the franchise. I like Big Boss more than Solid Snake. In my opinion, 3 feels VERY Metal Gear Solid. Also, I recommend U play the HD version of Subsistence version, cuz the camera is a million times more better in those.

@@A-Dubs398 Same with me. I loved this one as well and I was surprised later to hear people hated it. MSG3 turned me off instantly at the intro. "SOME DAAAY YOU FEED ON A TRE FROOOOG" and I was like "wow.... this is way way way wayyy too cheesy for me". But it eventually picked itself up. The soundtrack in this one is freaking amazing though. I think it's possibly the best of the series. The main theme is freaking epic.
