Kaz does it on accident i think. He wanted a better life (and money) for soldiers but all he did was invent the war economy as it exists in the later years of MGS. Also he shouldn't have retrieve the nuke from PW. Big dummy move.

I do hold Kaz responsible. However, I don't think he could have foreseen what War would become decades later. The fatal flaw was in trying to turn war into an industry. To keep business going, you need endless war. Industry will ALWAYS dehumanize and place profit/innovation over humanity. He wanted to give lost soldiers purpose but in the end they were treated worse than how most govts treat their soldiers. This isn't even touching upon the civilian causalities and the damage done to cities, infrastructure, etc. When Killing is your business, your profits are death, destruction, and ultimately, failure.

I laughed so god damn hard when Kaz got fucking angry at Big Boss for having a phantom doppelgänger. To be honest, in terms of whom is the worst villain is in MGS, I would say that Huey is the worst. He such a selfish man that he betrayed many people, he plagiarized Metal Gear Rex, he wanted to run experiments on Hal, and worst of yet that he tried to drown his daughter. Huey is much worst on so many levels that he seems to be a pathetic villain due to how much he slips up and down to his selfish events.

The thing is that Ground Zeros is a fabricated mission for Venom to experienced. In a sense, a not totally true story of what happened in Paz rescue. PythonSelkon also cover this theory too.

Miller is one of those characters that rubs me the wrong way he is just like Huey and Zero. Most people tend to only think he is a “nice guy” because Solid sees him in a favorable light but even Solid doesn’t know the real Miller. Who knows what Miller could have been planning if he was still alive since he seemed to think he had the skills to go against Ocelot. He also must have a bigger role in The Patriots than we know since he was well aware of the clones since they were 2 for all we know that meeting in Columbia wasn’t fate but a stage since we know Zero was looking for Big Boss since he left perhaps same goes for most the characters you meet in PW

If Kaz was there to see what Skull Face was doing (planting Paz with those bombs, one being in a place that also involves s*xu@lly violating her in one of the most painful ways possible)... He IS definitely a more evil person than Big Boss ever was. Paz gets a lot of hate but she was just another victim of the war machine. And in terms of everything she did, none of it was by her own will or design. She was a tool, used and abused and discarded. And in the end, she did truly care about BB (hence trying to bargain with Skull Face for him not to be hurt/to help BB). I didn't realize it was Kaz who said that line. I thought it was a random soldier or doctor. Knowing what I know now, Kaz is EVIL.

I feel like a core claim here is that Kaz was working with Skullface during ground zeroes. That could use a separate further analysis. I'll look into confirming whether the Japanese VA for Kaz is in that tape-- the video would be stronger if it stopped a moment to prove this, although I assume you're probably right. (I'll also look into whether Futurasound talks about this in his analysis of the Chico Tapes, which I've endlessly delayed watching.) Next, is the idea that Kaz is *present* at Camp Omega at the time, or could he be on a speaker or something? When is the tape happening, relative to the mission? Did Kaz have enough time to travel between Camp Omega and Mother Base? Also, Kaz is on the helicopter where Paz has the two bombs in her, and he appears to be nearly killed as a result. This indicates at least that he probably didn't know when the bombs would go off, which raises the question of what he was thinking *if* he was complicit in putting the bombs in her. Also potentially important is that in PW, Kaz basically says he knew Paz was a Cipher spy-- but then in ground zeroes, Kaz appears to imply he didn't know she was a Cipher spy. Not sure what to make of that, but seems likely to tie into this.

I never realised Kaz was there when Paz was getting bombs planted, always thought that was skull face. Man he really is the villain. And why was he upset with zero on the phone in the truth tapes then? He planted them bomb then commissioned big boss to get the bomb back. He doesn’t have any right to be angry about anything.

Ocelot is a Triple Tycoon with no real loyalty (besides Boss) But Kaz became too greedy the moment he got Mother Base, also to the idea about the cold war not lasting much than 25 years more before the collapse of the soviet union and the fall of Berlin's Wall also the shift from counter-comunism to counter-terrorism in small proxy wars (something manageble for a company instead than an official goverment...) This is what happen with people who became in love to glory and fame (and why the got yeeted by the times and the goverments of the moment) Even ocelot told him they could end turned into enemies (and thats why he got yeeted in his residence in Alaska in "mysterious circumstances" 🤭🙂🙃) Im sorry mah dude but you got what you deserved...😀👌
