Nah, riding that damn platform from the Underground Base to the Warehouse and back, only to ride it again back to the Blast Furnace, through the Warehouse, is the worst part of the game. Also, the Communications Tower ambush is far worse than the PSG-1 retrieval. That said, it would've been nice if the game could've had the Tank Hangar main gate open after the first Sniper Wolf encounter to make the Nuclear Storage Building truck more useful for Box Traveling to the Heliport without incurring another trip through the Vents.

In the twin snakes version I'd beat Revolver Ocelot in under 30 seconds or less. I just aimed the SOCOM at his head and fired away and hit some pipes that blinded him for a short time. And I was able to resist his torturing I've got fast button mashing skills. FYI you can take the truck from the Nuke storage building to the heliport by switching boxes. Saves time too.

The Twin Snakes made the game easier in general, so it's no wonder you can beat Ocelot like that. Anyone can make that claim. If you want to have people believe that you really have that kind of skills, you have to post some proof. The cargo truck actually steals a little more time if you're going for a speed run. It only works if you have both boxes (Heliport & Nuclear Warhead Storage Building). When you're going for a speed run, backtracking to find those boxes is a waste to time. Plus, you don't really need them.

C'mon the Twin Snakes Version has much better Graphics than the original game. Plus you can hide and stuff enemy corpses in lockers and shake them down for ammunition and rations. Besides I can use the Stinger Missiles to damage Metal Gear REX's weapons the Vulcan cannons and the Electron Laser.

Joseph Barnes Yeah, I'm aware of some of the improvements The Twin Snakes had, but it doesn't change the fact that the game in general is easier when compared to the original version. Also, it doesn't change the fact that, in a speedrun, using the truck is a waste of time. As for the Stinger missiles' statement, I can only say that those extra weakspots are fake. You're supposed to hit the radome, but it was such an obvious weakspot that they had to add those extra ones to confuse the player.

The first edition I played of MGS was the Japanese demo on one of the playstation underground games. Rahlistic you must download epsxe emulator for android. Go to 4shared.com & klick on files en search for epsxe.apk.. not all files are real so you have to try until you have a real emulator. You can reconize A real epsxe emulator bij de different collor logo that says epsxe. After dowload the right epsxe emulator you cant play without a special file. The file name is scph1001.bin. search the file on google en klick the first link. After that open the epsxe emulator en go to settings. Then klick on the first option.. then search en choose scph1001.bin go back to menu en choose "run bios" if you do this good you wil see the old first playstation logo just like when you start a real playstation. If you see the playstion logo but not hear sound then you have to try another epsxe.apk because some apk's dont have sound in it. After done all that what i said the next you do is search for games. This time metal gear solid 1. Go to coolrom.com or you can go to emuparadise. Choose the right emulator en the rom. Search mgs. After download, download 7z or winzip.. on playstore. Use the tool z7 or winzip to extract the file to .bin file. For example: a file with the name metalgearsolid1.zip changes to .bin you need to make .bin then you can choose that .bin file on the menu of the epsxe emulator. If you done correct then you wil see konami from metal gear solid. if you have any questions.. feel free to ask. Sorry for my bad english

I played this game heaps as a kid when it came out. I can't remember the AI being so easy though
