Excellent video my friend- so many lessons to be taken away from this legendary franchise.

About the MGSV part, us (Diamond Dogs) being manipulated by Cypher makes sense, since we fight against the soviets in Afghanistan, that is exactly what they want, because the big obstacle to Cypher's plan of full control was the Cold War, so by weakning the already corrupt and stagnant USSR on the battlefield, there would be a hole on the iron curtain, a hole that would generate a domino effect, which eventually lead to the fall of the Eastern bloc and the end of the Cold War itself.

I am so glad to have been raised on MGS. 10 fucking years old I get my copy of Metal Gear Solid for PS1. I cannot even stress how many hours I poured into that game alone. Not struggling. Just loving every minute playing through it and enjoying the story. Then MGS2 Sons of Liberty gets announced. I am 12. I have a PS2. it releases I get it for my 13th birthday. then Snake Eater. that trilogy is just solid fucking platinum at this point. I swear by it. the ideas and things Kojima was trying to open our eyes to 25 years ago man.... we just weren't wanting to listen. I took all that shit to heart. grew up on films and games. so yeah so glad.

Necroposting this to say I almost said the same thing years ago. I'm turning 50 next month, and I got my first copy of the original Metal Gear on NES when I was about the same age as you when you discovered Metal Gear Solid on Playstation. Got out of school and ran home to grab the money I was saving up and ran to the bus stop. Took a half-hour bus ride to the local Toys R Us. Got my copy with the last of my money and ran all the way home to play. From that moment on I played the hell out of every game in the series. The most influential piece of entertainment in my life. It shaped my politics, my willpower, and my ability to think critically in todays day and age. This series inspired me in so many parts of my life that I couldn't possibly put it all into a KZbin comment. I made captain of my high-school football team. I broke a personal record while running and listening to a soundtrack. I always thought, "What would Snake do in this situation?". When Metal Gear Solid 5 came to a close in my living room in my early 40s, I was overwhelmed with emotions. Hideo was in his young 20s when he made the original. About 10 years older than me at the time. That guy is not only my scholar but my spiritual brother. I owe that man everything. So yeah, I know how you feel. We are some of the luckiest gamers on earth. I'm super excited for Delta.

well phones especially are fitted with tracking device's and most Internet algorithms pick up through you microphone that you probably unknowingly left the settings on anything you have talked about or searched these algos redirect you to recommend stuff, when really in reality its just invading your privacy and giving corporations you personal details that describe you to see if your a threat or just a normal person turns your mic settings of buddy and location

When I played MGS as a teenager on PS2 I got my eyes opened to what will be & in some way is already here. The story fascinated me greatly & I start to wonder if our world had this power hungry elites that want us as lapdogs, slaves & total control. It made me research & take an interest of what really happening in the world behind the charades. I just been waiting for the day AI & in a few years nanotechnology or built in chips in humans becomes a reality. I always knew that this technology never will be for the good of heart to mankind. It will only enslave us further rather than set us free. Thank you Kojima for opening my third eye. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

truly a well written paragraph from yourself, Kojima really saw through all the bullshit, and the brilliance of the technical innovation's of the world, but the pure corruptions of government and the price the public have to pay,

I assume if Metal Gear 1 gets remade, Venom Snake might be added to the list of “dystopian protagonist” characters, since the Outer Heaven Uprising is supposed to be Big Boss and friends’ first attempt to take down Cipher.

When they mention FPS games recruiting kids for the Army it was quite literal. Please look up the game "America's Army". It was free and would link you to the Army's recruiting site from the game. They would get more aggressive with the recruiting if you were the right age and played the game well.

So you just explained the plot and how MGS4 is good because it makes the whole MG series come together and make sense, then you accused MGS4 critics of needing to "read between the lines"... There is no reading between anything, MGS4 spells out the plot in blatant exposition dumps and you miss the point, when people say MGS4 (and 5) were a mistake its because the plot is stupid, it retcons just about everything and inserts retconned characters from previous installments to lazily fill plot holes such as the Patriots being Zero, the darpa chief, etc Ocelots whole story arc, Naomi being a deus ex machina straight out of Kojimas butt.. I could go on but i dont want to. You make it seem like we just don't understand the plot but we do, it's just stupid, Big Boss didn't need to be involved, Snake Eater was a mistake although people tend to not think so because it is a good game, all Kojima had to do after MGS2 was make the next game be about Snake and Raiden taking out the patriots but he took a turn down to stupid town just to explain how Big Boss was a bad guy in MG1
