Your interpretation of the lyrics is absolutely brilliant. I've always thought it was exactly what you first said, that he can't stand to look at the world, but with "it's made of all the things I have to take," it makes so much more sense that it's about stress, anxiety, and life in general. I think even the "you cannot kill what you did not create" line plays well into this: you can't stop the "ache" because you are not the source of it, life is. No matter how hard you try, there's nothing you, as an individual, can do to stop it. Love these videos, great job man.

The thing I love about metal is the depth to the lyrics, the music and vocals usually expresses the emotions of the song. A lot of the lyrics are written in a way that different people will find a different meaning for the same song. For me duality is chaos and order. The insanity is the fact that what some see as chaos is seen as order by others and vice versa. Emotions and thought are the prime example for my chaos and order theory.

rap fans discovering metal is one of my favorite things. So many people have this preconception that metal is all just mindless, angry, meaningless, violent... And some of it is, but there's a reason for that anger, and it's things that most people CAN relate to, if they just listen. And because rap is all about the words, rap fans DO listen, and appreciate the rhythm even in very heavy songs where there isn't a lot of melody or traditional "musicality". I love that moment when it clicks and someone goes "I get it now, this is why metal fans like this music."

oh man, when I found your channel and saw the way you get really into the lyrics of a song I immediately went to check if you'd reacted to any Slipknot songs, 'cause they have amazing lyrics that people often completely miss out on you seem like the kind of guy who'd _really_ enjoy such lines as "packaging subversion, pseudo-sacrosanct perversion" or "no-one else can see the preservation of the martyr in me" (from Psychosocial)

I like the acoustic version of this song; The video is also powerful as he controls the destruction of the crowed just with the power of his presence.
