Metal Musicians React | Dreamcatcher(드림캐쳐) 'JUSTICE' MV

The crown has meaning. Justice is Part 2 of the VersuS Duology (album VirtuouS), with OOTD being Part 1 (album VillainS). OOTD was not just a song but also a complicated ARG, an Alternative Reality Game, a mystery-solving, plot-driven real life role playing game. The fans were amazed to see that the Mystery Code announcing the song's release had much more than the usual info, and pointed to real active accounts that gave many clues to an actual ARG. The game also included the interaction on X of two characters, a girl named Sasha, a designer working at Dreamcatcher Company, and a villain called Ymenehcra (aka Archenemy in reverse). Also there is a cursed item called The Crown which "demands sacrifices" in exchange of fame and fortune. 7 Korean Dreamcatcher fans were selected and notified in real life to go to Metro stations in Seoul at a certain times, where they received clues by Archenemy who demanded from them to "follow the Crown". In the end, after a lot of clues, the story went that all the Crown claimed that it gave fame and fortune, but the people who foolishly followed it, they eventually vanished and there were no traces of them left. Only clues on social media that people were called to follow (creepy photos, code messages, audio files, etc.) In the end of OOTD, we see what happens when someone manages to find the Cursed Crown. Archenemy stated that "the Crown demands 100 sacrifices" and that Sasha was the last. They were all avenged in the end, after the Cursed Crown was destroyed in Justice. As a song, OOTD is a criticism of the fake roles played in the music industry and how narcissism is prevalent in the social media. Dreamcatcher played the villainous versions of themselves, aka they were all Archenemy, who sold their souls to the Crown for fickle fame. OOTD was surprisingly more mainstream K-Pop than Rock, to support the concept. Contrary to that, in Justice, Dreamcatcher play the heroic versions of themselves, fighting for justice for the victims of the Crown. (The Crown's design is inspired from a similarly shaped cursed flying castle in an old Japanese Anime, which was also destroyed mid air.) In the end, the heroes destroyed it, but we the audience are left with more mystery. Who's the 8th girl that appears watching them in the end? (the Dreamcatcher members are 7). What happens next?

@@DavidWeinehall At one point I was worried because Siyeon was suddenly on hiatus when the MV came out... But thankfully, this wasn't the case. 😌 Is Sasha the 8th Dreamcatcher? A collab foreign vocalist? Someone for the next album? If it's never revealed, then we're in trouble. We'll never know.

In this MV, Five of the Seven members belted this out. At one point the Main Vocalist was not feeling well so she took a break for a bit, but she did it during the group's time doing the rounds promoting the song (and the EP it is on). She only did two live performances before taking that break (and we support her fully; the break was not just over physical stuff, but it turns out that it was also anxiety creeping up on her. We want our beloved Wolfie to be healthy and happy). Missing their Main Vocalist, the other members had to cover for her during the rest of the promotional period. The Lead Vocalists did what they normally do anyway but the Sub-Vocalists really stepped it up and they all knocked this out of the park! SIX of the Seven members have thus belted this song out (only the deep-voiced Main Rapper did not do any belting but fans already know that she CAN if she was required to)! These ladies are all AMAZING, as InSomnia knows already. The rest of the world needs to know because these ladies in this group have been working so hard for so long and they fully deserve to be recognized as the World-Class Entertainers that they are. :)

Thanks for checking out more Dreamcatcher! I love Justice and the whole Virtuous comeback. They did a phenomenal job on the EP and all of the tracks are great. You guys should definitely check out the EP that comes with this. There are 3 other songs and a really awesome instrumental intro. There's also an It's Live performance with a live band for Justice that's fantastic and they have a live showcase performance for one of the b-sides, 2 Rings, with choreography. Also, not sure where you guys are located but they've got a tour coming up in the US in November and tickets are already on sale if you wanted to check them out in concert.

dreamcatcher \:D/ justice is the final part of a duology so unless you dissected the first which is ootd, it'd hard to get everything here. the theme of the series is about greed and excess in today's world, and the injustices that arise from it. should check out more of their songs, since they go in all directions :D. try 'vision' when you get a chance.

Producer Han Dongcheol is often cited as "Star Producer" who has led several famous programs such as "Produce 101", "Show Me The Money", "Unpretty Rapstar", and "Sixteen" during his times on Mnet before he left and joined with YG Entertainment at 2017, which he also eventually left to start a new fresh by establishing his own production company called Funky Studio. Dreamcatcher - the rebel in the almost dry desert of today's K-Pop. The last single “Justice” is incredibly good, an oasis in the monotony. And - it has always been that way. Dreamcatcher has existed since January 2017 and has always been somewhat off track by K-Pop standards. Rock/alternative mixed with everything possible - nobody liked that in Korea. No matter, they stuck with it. And overseas liked it. For years they have also been in a class of their own live. There are now officially 10 mini albums, 2 full albums, Japanese releases, countless solos and covers - all good. I don't recommend anything - except "Shatter" (official MV) and "Wind blows" (MV Play color version) to briefly show the diversity. My personal playlist is currently well over 200 titles long. Try it yourself. And thank you for your attention to this unique group.
