If you have seams and joints, you'll want to bridge with Liquid Rubber Seam Tape before applying the coating. There may be a neighborhood kid who can get up on the porch roof to do the application. It's pretty straight forward.

Hi, yes the Liquid Rubber will reduce noise transfer of a metal roof. As the thickness increases, the sound decreases.

Don't use ANY kind of rubber or acrylic coating on your roof , it will crack with time and you'll have to scrape it all off. Use an aluminum roof coating

@@marcusmazza2255 Hi, both can be used. The Seam Tape is quicker and easier to use but costs a little more. The Geo-Textile takes more time to embed into the coating.

Do you have to put the sealant on the whole roof or just around the seam?

Hi, you can apply it to localized areas as a repair. There's is not a need to do the whole roof. The advantage of doing the whole roof is a uniform Color and making it all seamless so you're sure that all leaks are stopped. You can see more at liquidrubber.ca/pages/metal-repair.
