You’re right- this is a very respectful version, with little change to the melody, and (I think) sung in Celine’s key. And yet it’s turned on its head with the tempo, the instrumentals, and the volcanic energy. Dan is a musical wizard, The guitarist is Garrett Peters, not Victor. Thanks very much for reacting to this one! Hoping for more Dan.

Thank you!! Dan Vasc is a borderline crosser. He breaks down our narrow categories of thought. It's not about boundaries - heavy metal vs. classical or pop vs. country, etc. No, he overcomes them with talent, professionalism & creativity. Regardless of your taste, all of his cover songs are unique! He goes his own way. He also has a big heart (“love my tender”) and a wonderful sense of humor (“pour some sugar on me”). Let's support him on his way! 🤘❤🤘

Hi - just FYi, I read a comment recently on another video that said Dan has said he doesn’t like “VascNation.” I didn’t see him say it myself, so I wouldn’t swear to it 😊, but I’ve stopped using it myself. Cheers. 🎶

⁠⁠@@rjross1087I saw that comment from a viewer a few wks ago too and I don’t think that is the case. I watch all of Dan’s interviews and podcasts (past & present). I’ve never seen it said. People see one misquoted comment and repeat it. Then others repeat it. I’ve seen everybody repeating that Dan plays a harmonica that his father gave him at age 6 or 7 for Amazing Grace and EVERYBODY repeats it when it simply isn’t true. I saw, with my own eyes, Dan saying that his father gave him his first harmonica at age 12. The difference of 6 yrs seemed trivial so I didn’t say anything but now this is just another misinformation being spread by someone who heard or remembered something incorrectly. Besides that, Dan always advocates for expressing yourself and not being apologetic for things you feel/say. I doubt that he’d say anything of the sort. Many of his fans (including myself) watch all of his interviews & podcasts that he’s on, and nobody else has seen anything like that being said by him. I wish that person would go back & delete his comment before more misinformation is spread.

Unfortunately for all of us who have loved Dan's outros, he's not doing them any longer, due (sigh) to problems from YT. Love both of your comments regarding the mechanics of the music and the methods that Dan used to make this such a WONDERFUL cover of the old, stale song. Great job, guys! 😀

Thank you for both of your reactions to this epic cover by Dan and his guitarist Garrett. They turned the saddest song in the world into a metal anthem. I never saw the movie Titanic, I just didn't like it. I had read that Celine Dior actually didn't want to sing this song. I think it's certainly both a blessing and a curse for them. Dan talked about getting in trouble because of the outros (algorithms and ???) So unfortunately he doesn't do it anymore. It was fun to listen to them. Have an epic day of you.❤

I’m thinking that now with so many more followers the interest in those short personal outro’s may be more than before. What I remember Dan saying is that people wouldn’t wait for him to finish talking and left early, which was bad for the algorithm😊

A brilliant rendition by Dan and Garret J Peters!❤❤ They took it from a slow, dreary song to a joyous anthem. Dan stopped doing outros at a point as it messed with the algorithms as not everyone listened to them.(Think I have the story right)😉Glad you enjoyed it, thankyou😃

first time on your channel and i really enjoyed your reaction. dan has some Q&A videos where he answers fans' questions.i really like them bc you get to know dan vasc. he is witty, intelligent, funny, honest and humble. His personal philosophy on life is amazing. he's simply a beautiful soul and i am so grateful that he has chosen to share his gift here on you tube otherwise i'd never would have come across him.

Sorry, Dan is not doing outros any more. He did give you a little example of the song at the slow pace set by Celine, but Dan wanted to make this sad. slow song into a epic upbeat version.

Dan Vasc always outdo himself and goes beyond the expectations. The guitarist,GarrettJPeters,is absolutely phenomenal. They slayed this song with the best version I've ever heard of it. Epic. Thanks for your amazing reaction.

Thanks Gents, for another great reaction to Dan Vasc. I really enjoy the reimagined version of this sad ballad into a powerful anthem. He does much the same thing with Amazing Grace. He sings it the beautiful classic way but, ends it with some spectacular power notes. It gives me goosebumps to hear it. Another great one is his cover of the Disney Mulan I'll Make a Man Out of You song. He makes it fun with some other YT singers joining in, and ends it will probably the highest note in his incredible vocal range. I hope you will give both of these songs a listen to. I will be here for it.

Over the years we've been drilled with sad songs sung happily, happy songs sung sadly.. then along comes Dan & gives us back the triumph of love itself. Masterpiece!! All involved in this song excelled tremendously. Thank you for your thoughts & reactions!

Did you ever think you'd be able to do a workout to this song!? Heard the original on the radio the other day and honestly thought it was so dreary (no offence to Celine Dion , she had a beautiful voice) but this is a whole new song , not a cover!

"It's a real upbeat version..." - you could say that. I would say it was a rocket fueled kick of a version. Gives one a nice wake up call compared to the original. edit: on his newer videos, he doesn't do an outro. He said it was affecting his income due to what you tube counts as being watched.
