34-year old Brazilian Dan Vasc has said publicly that he's a Christian. He's also a conservative, LOVES the USA, refused both the mask and jab mandates, and takes a STRONG stand against the mainstream music media resulting in his getting his voice out on KZbin only. Dan Vasc is phenomenal! He is a Christian. His father was also a musician and gave him the harmonica he plays here when he was 7. His dad passed away a few years ago and Dan did a lovely tribute to him. I didn't include the link here. Go hunt him down; you won't be disappointed! His mother sang opera and though he definitely comes from a musical background it took him some time to decide music is the path he is destined to follow. He has a metal band, FEARLESS, that currently only performs live in Brazil where he lives. I'm grateful he turned to KZbin and shares his God-given talent with all of us!!!!

Dan is Brazilian & Christian.His Dad was a Musician who Loved Elvis. His Mom was an Opera Singer.The harmonica was a gift from his Dad when he was 7 & very special to him. His Dad was his best friend & died of Cancer a few years ago. Dan went into a Depression for 2 years. You can feel this song in your Soul. You should watch his Trilogy. His Dad had just passed away & he dedicated the song to his Dad. He had a hard time keeping it together. That was ~ 6 years ago. He looked like a baby back then. LOVE DAN!

Many folks forget/are unaware that metal is still a highly technical genre, and many of the artists are classically trained - especially for the vocalists if they don't want to destroy their voices

Exactly. I think, to truly appreciate metal, people need to do a bit of a deep dive on KZbin. Many metal singers are classically or even operatically trained. There's a lot more to metal than a lot of people think. Even lyric-wise. A good example would be Chuck Schuldiner, whose early albums were more horror and gore themed, but he started writing about topics that people were afraid to approach- drug abuse, abortion, euthanasia, the role of religion, etc.. (sorry, I could talk music forever, lol).

He is definitely a Christian and is proud of it! Check out his cover of Gethsemane from "Jesus Christ Superstar"...... it's amazing! The double harmonica was given to him by his father before he passed away. He's from Brazil, but speaks Italian, English, and some Latin and German. His father encouraged him to take voice lessons from an early age, perfecting his vocal instrument. He has a brother, David, who plays guitar and he has over 275 covers...... all of which are better than the original! He sings with such power and produces his own music. Truly a genius.... and, is very humorous to boot!

Hi Nick, Dans father passed in 2018 and this was his favorite song Dan sang at the funeral, I think Dan sang this again for his Dad in heaven, This is the best rendition of this song I have ever heard ever. Looking around youtube for metal covers of stuff you would not think could work as a metal version will yield a LOT of results that actually do work, and work very well. The algorithm hasn't recommended me any jazz converted to metal, so now I'm going to go look for it manually.
