Nice to see you back on here. I hear you on the social media thing. It can wear you out forsure. I've slowed way down on the vinyl as well. The prices are getting to be to much for me. I can get 2 or 3 cds for the price of one new record. The only Ram album I have is Rod and I really like that one. The rest are great pick ups.

The vinyl prices are ridiculous now, but the good thing is that they can’t sustain the market at those prices, once people drop off the vinyl fad they’ll come down again. If you like Rod I reckon you’ll really enjoy the other releases from RAM. Cheers mate, it’s good to be back! 🤘🤘🤘

Grand Magus, much as I like 'em, are pretty much the definition of 'ticking along nicely' , shame is ,they probably have a real good one in them somewhere. I know what you mean, they don’t really go out their comfort zone, but it’s normally solid enough to keep me interested, this one just lacked a bit of something. I would always encourage folk to get on and make videos, but like you say if you know already you wouldn’t keep it up then maybe just make a few? I think the last Ozzy album would’ve put a few folk off getting the new one but it’s got a lot to offer that ordinary man didn’t. Try Triumph and Power by Grand Magus and Svbversvm by Ram. Cheers John, hope everything is going well at your end mate 🤘🤘🤘

That’s a point a couple of people have made about haunt and their vocals and I do get it as it sounds like the singer isn’t really trying but I think that’s what stands out to me, he doesn’t try hard to be like anyone else. It’s good to be back mate! 🤘🤘🤘

A definite step up musically from ordinary man although I do like that one. I struggle a little bit with early Saxon but hopefully working my way back down the discography will help that lol cheers Cristian!

I think Call To Arms is a bit more on the hard rock side than most of the recent albums. Good but definitely one of the weaker ones. Seven Sisters are amazing, like Haunt people criticise the vocal style but I like it a lot. Under the Scythe is one of my favourite RAM songs. Great to see you back mate, some killer pickups! Give GM another go!

Call to arms is a step down in intensity for sure, I was surprised after the others I’ve picked up at that end of the discography. I didn’t think you were a fan of Haunt for some reason. I’m loving this wee pocket of metal.

I got that same Heir Apparent recently. Good album. Couldn't get on with Haunt.... I think it's the vocals that puts me off for some reason. And I agree about the nonsense with vinyl pricing... I'm going to be looking more at CD's than vinyl too if things don't calm down.

Nice to see you Scott. Yeah I have moved back to picking up more CD's in the last 3 months too, records prices are getting stupid. I haven't picked up any Ozzy for awhile, but I did stream Patient Number 9 the other day and didn't mind it... autotuning does annoy me a little though. That Heir Apparent is a great, I actually haven't heard their 2nd album, if it is more progressive, I need to hunt it down. I lost track of Arch Enemy around War Eternal and didn't pickup the followup I, for me they can get a bit samey at times. Great update mate!

I get why they are cashing in on the vinyl market but it’s fucking annoying for long term collectors. As soon as most people get sick of the fad theyll drop back down. But until then, more CDs! I would recommend One Small Voice, Heir Apparents second album, I think it’s awesome! Cheers Chad! 🤘🤘🤘

Good to see you back on the Toob, dude! Been meaning to pick up Haunt's stuff on vinyl for a while, but still not got round to it. Not really enjoyed much by Arch Enemy since 'Rise of the Tyrant'. Just taken the cheese a bit too far for me! 😂 Still not given 'Patient Number 9' a go yet, as I wasn't keen on the singles, tbh. Love a bit of Grand Magus! Will have to pick that one up. I've been buying more CDs myself recently as I agree, the cost of vinyl is getting insane now. Cheers! 🤘

Good to see you again Scot. Solid update here. That Seven Sisters is immense and well worth getting on vinyl, agree that they have their own style and just do what they like, that's probably why they're a modern standout for me. The Saxon album is a grower, it's a bit more bluesy but there is some good stuff on there. Hopefully Priest will do a headline tour soon. Enjoy the new tunes mate.

I totally know what you’re saying about Call To Arms , it’s got a couple heavier tracks but the bulk of it is dialled back & the production is just ok . Taking a break from SoMe every now and then is prolly healthy. Sounds like Ozzy's lined up an all-star team there... haven't heard it yet. The Heir Apparent one is pretty good I think. Good pick-ups overall.

Absolutely, I needed to refresh the batteries a wee bit. Ozzy is a step up from the last album, but then again he has a lot more heavy hitters collaborating on it.
