Suga is referencing "It Doesn't Matter" (a.k.a. SSaihanuwar), a song released in October 2013. The word "SSaihanuwar" is repeated several times (background vocals). Agust D lines, "...I’m embarrassed about “SSaihanuwar” We sell half a million copies in a year now" is referring to the above song. In "It Doesn't Matter", Suga brags their album sold 30,000 copies.

i love both of these songs from him..pretty much love all of his songs that he has wrote and created. Suga is the one that write the music/lyrics and produces all of his songs Also, yes agust D and give it to me came from the same mixtape. When he says I am from D...D means Daegu..its his hometown...Ssaihanuwar is a predubut track yoongi aka suga wrote/released. Suga said ssaihanuwar is embarrassing to him but its okay now cuz he makes millions. SUGA is short for Shooting Guard that is his position when he played basketball. His hometown is Daegu City so D stands for Daegu. Agust D is reversed by D town suga. When you're an OT7, its a constant struggle to not be biased wrecked every single time. As everyone already said, D stands for Daegu where Yoongi and Tae came from. Agust D MV comes first, then Give It to Me, these songs are his response to all the hate they got from their fellow underground rappers during that interview that you saw on the introductions. The "tongue technology" always gets me. I hope you'll be able to check out The Last, it's one of Yoongi's most vulnerable song. It really speaks to a lot of ARMYs like myself. His writing and production is full of his stories. You can definitely hear and feel his emotions in his songs. His passion for music is what amaze me the most, that's why he is my bias. Mixtape songs most of the time don't have live performances because they are not official album releases. Only Tony Montana (Agust D) and Daechwita (D2) have live performances. Hope you'll check out both Agust D and D2 mixtapes, its really great.

A few things these two theme wise are AgustD first he’s tied up by the industry and cuts himself free and goes off speed rapwise. He’s unapologetic. In Give It To Me he films under the same bridge JHope used for Arson. And yes the 3 rapline members can come very very hard. A show of just those 3 I would not survive. And yes for his solo stuff Suga does the beats, keyboards and production, although he used a sample from James Brown so AgustD AgustD can’t be anywhere but SoundCloud which is endlessly frustrating because I love it.

- Yes, Give It To Me and Agust D are both from his mixtape simply named Agust D. (His other mixtape is called D-2) - D refers to Daegu where he's from but if you include the T it's also a nod to his former underground rap group D-Town. - "Ssaihanuwar" is a song he released earlier where he brags about having sold 30,000 copies of their debut album which of course is nothing to what he was selling at this point. If you think Tongue Technology is funny, wait until you hear what he is talking about when he raps about sending someone to Hong Kong. lol But yeah these two songs (while in this order on the album I believe) are meant to be watched in the opposite order in video form. I've always been more of a casual listening of rap, but when i first found BTS, he 100% is who drew me in, to this day I'm still confused how a love song to his growing up with a piano makes me cry every time. The Last is definitely the song you were thinking. I'd say it should be done on it's own as it kind of needs that space. And to close this album definitely end with the multiple versions of So Far Away. Then on your own rewatch Daechwita with the mindset of thinking of the blond king as "this" Agust vs. the more recent Agust as the boss... it makes that video have another level. :) Some other Yoongi songs i love are Nevermind by Suga, especially live, and frankly all of D-2 is amazing but People shouldn't be missed to show the real distance yoongi has come :) I think a lot of us love the rawness of 2016 Agust but at the end of the day i'm so happy to see how calm and content he seems to be nowadays and it makes D-3 even more intriguing where he'll take it.

Suga is the sole writer and producer of both these tracks. For the remainder of this mixtape he is the main writer and producer. For his second mixtape he is main writer for the 10 tracks and the main producer for 7 of them along with other producers from bighit.

If you wanna check out some of his less intense songs - So Far Away, People (obsessed with this one), and 28. His D-2 mix tape is a lot more chill than the first where these two songs come from. He's also very involved in his work from writing to producing to playing instruments. 💜

It was On: The Kinetic Manifesto Film that was my first introduction to BTS. And it blew me away. Then I saw DNA, before being led to Daechwita, and through that to Agust D. And.... I love all the guys. They all have their unique, and amazing, talents, strengths, and personalities. And when they come together it is truly magic. But Min Yoongi/Suga/Agust D... I just connected with him. This song 'Agust D' feels like "home". Warm, safe, comforted and comfortable, understood and understanding. Like a hug to my heart.💖 And yes, I am aware of how strange that sounds - especially about a song like Agust D. But that's the way I feel. Perhaps it's just that his songs are so raw, and personal, that they can't help but resonate within you. Connecting to something deep within the listener. This is not really super relevant but, just a fun fact: In the chorus, Agust D says that he takes people to Hong Kong with his tongue technology. BigHit translated it in the MV as "y'all get turned on" but "taking someone to Hong Kong" is a korean expression that actually means something like "to rock someone's world", as in a sexual context, so there are other translations that put it as "y'all c*me with my tongue technology". To climax is a better translation and it makes the whole bragging even more brutal

Suga is the master of creating beats. He said multiple times some music he released was not good. He encourages everyone to put their music out and learn from it. Mixtapes are self produced songs mostly on SoundCloud for free because they are not produced by the company for mass release. Some tracks have shared producing credits.

Ah Suga ! I was not into rap before meeting BTS. Then I hear Outro: tear and just after, The last, and I fall in love with the rap line. I really admire Suga's fast flow, and his "tongue technology" but more than his technical skills, the way he always put raw emotions into his words, cadence and flow hit me. No matter if it's anger, rage, pain, fear, .. or a mixed of all this feelings hidden behind sarcasm, he never fail to touch and move me. Jimin is my "uber bias" ( not that I have choose him, he just captured my heart and soul since the first gaze) , but Suga is probably the one I related the most between my 6 bias 😉 (yes, I love them all ) I hope you will react to The Last (live performance), it's such a emotional and vulnerable song.

Pls also check-out "The Last" and "So Far Away ft. Suran" from Yoongi's first mixtape... I can't count how many times I cried to these. Yoongi is best in expressing angst. The way he delivers is filled with so much emotion and passion, I didn't know I would cry to rap songs. Even tho I don't know his pain, I can feel the pain, anger and sadness in his delivery so much. Yoongi delivers catharsis thru angst, Joon thru comfort (Pls. react to "mono"🥲, you'll know why, he isn't called a poet & philosopher who raps for nothing), and Hobi thru fun (not necessarily bright message but the way he deliver his rap sounds fun, he's a melodic rap expert).

Well sometimes I think that Suga is my bias. He is music is so raw and unapologetically vulnerable. And when he has something to say he says it. In his mixed tapes he does most of his work. Yes he produces and writes for BTS bit not the only one. But in honestly whe. Someone asks me who my bias is I can't say. So I always say I'm OT7 why choose. Everyone has a unique different voice with different ranges. They all have given music that says aw this is the best but then like you said you here the next one from another member. the lyric video you used for give it to me was badly translated a lot of the phrasing was off or wrong words in general. imo for songs with music videos the best translations are the captions on the music video as thats approved by bighit/hybe. songs without music videos get trickier to know which is correct usually dial 6137 and af taehyung have the best translations.
