Good reaction to a stunning cover. I agree with you entirely about the quality of their music arrangements - it's probably their biggest strength AND they have vocals to die for. For innovative covers try Bad Romance, Time In A Bottle, Shape of You and Sweet Dreams. Ko Woo Rim the bass is stunning. Forestella use him brilliantly and I think their bass gets a much better opportunity with them than the basses do in the excellent acapella groups. Tragically for music lovers he has just started 18 months military service.

I know you mentioned how much you enjoyed this arrangement. Aside from this, I think you would really enjoy their performance of MAMA, I'd love if you checked it out next. I'd also recommend Hijo de la Luna. One of the members of Forestella, Kang Hyung Ho (his stage name is PITTA) did an individual performance of Phantom of the Opera that I think you would enjoy as well. I love, love, love Forestella. I'm so happy that you found them!!! There are so many great performances. I recommend Bohemian Rapsody as well as one by just one of the members who performs both parts of The Phantom of the Opera. He is a tenor/soprano and is the only member who has had no vocal training. He and some friends put a rock band together when they were in college, and he played guitar and was lead singer. The amateur band went by the name Pitta. The group consists of two Opera singers, one musical actor and our amateur freak of nature who is a chemical engineer and the only one of the group who had a "real job" before becoming a member of Forestella. I'm sorry that I can't remember their names which is sad as I've been a fan for two years. My excuse is that I'm old. 😊 Anywho, sorry for rambling. I also recommend well, everything they've done! Before the military service MinGyu was in Seoul Metropolitan Opera. If you think a "real job" means office worker (Actually HyungHo worked in the lab tho), well, I'd rather say he was the only one far from theater business. Even though just as a hobby he was 10 years experienced rocker at the point of Phantom Singer 2 audition.

BTW WooRim was a 3rd grader in the university at that time, so Forestella is WooRim's first "real job" lol. Yes! Forestella, I was so Excited! Woorim’s BassBaritone is the incredible foundation for this and so many of their other songs, which you usually don’t see, sh So Incredible. Yes their originals are amazing!!! I would suggest Angels next to show their diversity. As a group, their diversity and styles remind me of Dimash, just incredible, Angel is truly angelic and again starts with the baritone, who is unfortunately currently serving mandatory military service since the end of November. Forestella often take turns to take the lead. If you want to listen to their original songs you need to start with Save Our Lives as it is the first song in a trilogy of songs. Info on the bass singer: As people mentioned, he’s called Ko Woorim, and he was majoring in classical singing in Seoul University when he entered an audition program called Phantom Singer and became a member of Forestella. He’s the youngest member of the group(I mean he was only a college student when he started). Also one huge issue about him is that he’s married to Kim Yuna, the legendary Korean figure skater who was gold medalist in the Vancouver Olympics and also silver at Sochi. They met during a her gala show where Forestella was invited to sing, and they got married in October 2022. Which is why he’s widely known in Korea as ‘the National Thief’ for stealing our figure skating queen’s heart lol… people absolutely adore them😂🥰

Yes John, the bass guy sucked me in when I listened to them the first time. They are all good but that bass is hauntingly mesmerizing! You hear him in the songs they do and Despacito is a fun one. Their harmonies are one of the best out there….very in sync with each other!!!

I have seen all of Forestella’s performances multiple times & they still give me goosebumps. They are my all time fav vocal group & the bass singer Ko Woorim is probably my favorite singer ever. Ko Woorim is a classically trained opera singer, which is probably where he learned to project his voice like you were talking about. He has such a lovely warm tone to his voice. Aside from their angelic vocals though, one thing I love about this group is the way they arrange the songs they cover. Quite often I prefer their cover to a lot of the originals.

Another Dear here ❤ Forestella and Dimash both are in a different level. I want to correct one thing about Forestella. The leader is Cho Mingyu not Bae Doohoon. Doohoon is the eldest in the group. But Mingyu is the one who chose the members very carefully with a lot of strategy. Because of his deep strategies he was nick named as a strategist during the competition where Forestella was formed.

Their three main originals are “UTOPIA", “Save our lives”& “White Night.” Personally, I really recommend UTOPIA! It's a progressive song composed for Forestella by Valensia Clarkson, who is heavily influenced by Queen. It's the 2nd part of a triology. (Part I being “Save our lives” which you already did a reaction video to, and part III “White Nights.”) All very uplifting and deep meaning songs.

Hi. It's me again,lol. Ko Woorim is the baby of this group at age 28. He's married to the South Korean Champion figure skater ( called Queen) Yuna Kim. She's 5 years older than him and they met when Forestella was doing a few songs at an event she attended. She was smitten ( understandably) She has a personal net worth of $10 MILLION with Dior endorsements etc. She's a HUGE STAR in Korea! You can even see KZbin videos of their wedding. Woorim is currently serving his mandatory military service in the Korean Army Band and will be finished in apx 17 more months. The other 3 Forestella members have all completed their service. I TRULY hope you do a DEEP DIVEinto Forestella. You will not regret it! I have them, Dimash and Jungkook on almost all day. I think my music tastes are very discriminating! Thanks again! 😊👍 ❤

Remember, Forestella are 4 guys and Dimash is one! They are both great but Dimash takes the cake! He is the whole choir, band and special effects rolled into one tall person! Plus he does a lot for different ethnic styles of singing. But I love the bass vocal of Forestella s when he sings, I just melt! Forestella is my favorite band though, they are so good in their harmonies! I Iike their mix of genres too. Hua Chenyu and Dan Vasc are my other favorite artists. They are the best and mixing genres and ultra talented!
