2:45 He married Yuna Kim, Korea's "Ice Princess" this year. She's a record-breaking gold-medalist figure skater. She lit the Olympic torch in for the Pyeongchang Olympics and is highly idolized as a famous athlete in Korea. When news broke of their engagement, a lot of people online were all like "he's so luckkkkyyy!!!" And I, being a fan of Forestella, was like....she's lucky too y'all lol. They met when Forestella was performing at a skating event.

The funny thing is when Woorim (the bass) auditioned, he almost got eliminated several times. He was a student back then and his technique wasn't anything superb. It was actually Mingyu who saved him through a duet, by giving him lessons, and then Woorim decided to finish his opera studies. :)

Forestella is a vocal crossover group! They are signed under BEAT Interactive that also manages A.C.E but they're not a kpop group. They were formed during the competition Phantom Singer! 2 of them are classically trained (bass Woorim and tenor Mingue/Mingyu I've seen it spelled both ways) one of them is a musical theatre actor (baritone Doohoon) and the last one used to be in a college rock band (Countertenor HyunHo). Edit: just to fvck with you guys a bit more Woorim their basso profondo is their maknae 😂😂 he's married too, to Kim Yuna the Olympic skater and they're so cute 😊

Oh, I am so glad that they warmed your soul with a song so important to you. The first singer, with the high voice Kang Hyung-Ho, was a Research Chemist with no formal vocal training, prior to the show creating Forestella. He was a part time.... ROCK singer. 😂 The second singer with the Basso Profundo voice (Ko WooRim) is Classically trained. He married Yuna Kim (Olympic Gokd Medalist skater) in October. Cho Mingyu is a Classically trained Tenor and ladt Bae Doo-Hoon has a background in Theatre. You should try "Bohemian Rhapsody"😲, "Shape of you" 🤣, "Bad Romance" 😲 and work up to "Je suis malade". 😭 Have tissues ready for "Je suis malade".

Hi from Paris - France. I love your enthusiastic reaction to these four awesome artists who are the FORESTELLA. They should be known worldwide! Do you know their countertenor - Kang Hyung Ho - ( I suggest you watch his performance of the FANTOM OF THE OPERA) was not trained in music? He was a chemist! But the three other members were classically trained especially Ko Woo Rin, the bass voice that shakes the hell out of anyone! It's a hormonal wonderland voice. But the four voices and their harmonious blending together is pure magic! 🤣😂💖

Forestella is very unique when it comes to picking songs! and believe me, you did not see 10% of what they can offer... they sang in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Korean! actually, they sang for an anime called ghost in the shell.. the song's name is "inner universe" and it's in Russian... and they did sing for a HISTORICAL K-DRAMA (Nokdu Flower OST) called 새야 새야 파랑새야 (Bird, Bird, Blue Bird)... you have to react to Je suis Malade, Bohemian Rhapsody, Scarborough fair, Shape of you, Nella Fantasia, Champions, My favorite things, the sound of silence, Mama (Exo), Save our lives and Utopia (their original songs), oh and one of the tenors Cho min kyu sang "Balada para un loco"...

one interesting fact The high pitched person was an ordinary office worker. The fourth person was a theater actor. And the person doing the bass part is the husband of figure skating world record holder, gold medalist Yuna Kim. Only 2 out of 4 studied classical music.

Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Forestella! I enjoyed alot. They are basically classical crossover quartet..just regarding "classical" in a wider range IMO. Their rendition for masterpieces showed their voices, talents, efforts and creativity. They have something unique even in their covers. There is another Korean version of Hijo de la Luna and the guy who started the song had sung in a duet with a member of another group Forte di Quattro. Forestella loved the song and came to remake it for quartet. They changed the story and lyrics as the original song had quite cruel story..they wanted to keep the thrilling mysterious vibe so their version became like you see.

I discovered this group this week. I discovered you today. Love love love your reaction. I think everyone I share them with will react the same way, mostly. (I shared Bohemian Rhapsody with a friend today and she thought it was the best cover she'd ever heard, and loved that she could understand every word unlike even the original). They are so friggin' good. Jaw droppingly good. I spent a day watching clips of the show that created them - Phantom Singer 2 (season 2). Such a story! They did not know each other before the show though Cho Min-gyu was aware of Ko Woo-Rim from the school. If it hadn't been for the random draw of luck of the semi-finals we might never have had them. Well, now to see what else you've reacted to. PS - I'm a bit of BTS fanatic. And Mamamoo is my favorite SKorean "girl" group because of their vocals. You two and I have that in common. Strong emotions! But Forestella makes it even more so! Others have given you who each singer is. The basso profondo, WooRim and the youngest, is now married. Doohoon, the musical theatre trained baritone and the oldest member, has also married. Hyungho, the tenor/soprano has announced that he is still a bachelor. ;) And Mingyu, the director and leggiero tenor is also single. Oh, and Doohoon will be singing/acting in the latest Korean production of Rent!

Yes finally i LOVE your reaction, for their other Spanish song, Shape of You has 3 languages, English, Spanish and African Zulu, Cho Mingyu, legerro tenor sing Ballad de un loco in very fluent Spanish, for anime song they have covered Inner Universe, it's in Russian but from Japan, for K-dramas they have two ost, why Hijo de la Luna? Because in Korean tv program Immortal song 2 there is always a theme for each episode and I think they choose this because of the theme but since it was COVID era they just sing no competition, they are opera singers formed from phantom singer which consists of bass (Ko Woorim he's basso profondo), legerro tenor Cho Mingyu, baritone (Bae Doohoon he's musical actor) and contra tenor (Kang Hyung Ho he doesn't have music background but has very high voice) for Kang Hyung Ho, you should watch Phantom of the opera, he sings alone which means he sings the male and female parts, for Ko Woorim the bass he sings Autumn Leaves (Le Fueles Mortes), a french song, he sings it in very fluent french, please react their other songs 🥰 fyi, they are going to have concert in US in January you can meet them directly 🥰 thank you for your reaction 😍

Surprised at your insight! But this is not Immortal Songs but Open Concert. As KBS is a public broadcasting station in Korea, they have some shows like this, presenting various kinds of musicians. It's not a competition show like Immortal Songs which is a remake cover music competition show. This is Forestella's version of Hijo de la Luna in their 2nd album Mystique so you can find it in Spotify . In the same album they have Bohemian Rhapsody and My Favorite Things studio recorded versions as well. Forestella said they have no baritone but 3 tenors and 1 bass. Yes Bae DooHoon has wide range that can go deeper like a baritone. Kang HyungHo also can go quite low. I think for their wide range of voices they could diverse their songs in unique harmonies.
