Love your reaction! Olivia did say that people are the same, more than they are different. So, that's why her debut album resonated with all different demographics. Her dad's a therapist, so she's really in touch with her emotions. She's 20, turning 21 next month. She wrote drivers license and her album when she was 17, with her sole producer.

olivia is punk !!! i’ve stood by this for the longest time and will always stand by it. her sound is SO different. there is absolutely nothing wrong with pop (i’m a big swiftie lmao i love pop!!) but the media putting her into pop music doesn’t sit right with me. her lyrics, her music, it’s sooo punk to me. also she has gotten so much more control over her voice in such little time. she has always been amazing, but her live performances are insaaane this album

She's the real deal, and deserves every last bit of praise and acclaim that's come her way. Double Bonus: She had an unexpected hit with her initial single release, Driver's License, and they hadn't apparently nailed down all of her contract details with her record company for her extended deal. The company tried to toss a lot of up-front money at her and she refused, insisting on far less money and keeping the rights to her own music. She banked on her own future success, and it's already paid off, making her one of the richest artists in the world now.

I’m so happy you are reacting to her. Olivia is really the best new artist out there. She is known for her profound and relatable lyrics. They are mostly sad and about herself however many people relate to her lyrics and even if not she makes you feel like you do. I really hope you react to more of Olivia here in the channel! I recommend sling SOUR album first it was her debut album. The album that made her famous she won Grammys in just her first year. The other album is GUTS this is the most recent and my personal favorite.

I feel like you’ll really enjoy GUTS. It’s actually her sophomore album, two years after her hit debut SOUR. GUTS is like the perfect pre-adult album, like a look back to everything from her teenage life and some realizations from what happened that time. Sonically, it’s a great mix of pop-rock/punk and ballads. She kind of paid homage to 90s and early 2000s pop rock /grunge scene with this record so yeah, expect a lot of bangers on the album with really great songwriting. Definitely a solid AOTY contender

She is deep, she is real, all her songs are her. I knew all songs were written by one person by the lyrics the day I listened to all her stuff on KZbin. Then I found out she was 18 the first time on Tiny Desk. Watch that performance. Turns out she is an actress first with four years in a Disney tv show before she turned 18. She is perfection at her craft and one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, and then when I watch her sing she transcends any artist I have ever seen. I am in love with her self, her music, her genius. She is now 20, and her first album was great the next even better which only the Beatles ever did. I have hopes that her career mirrors what the Beatles achieved with every album better than the last until the end. May her music never end for she is a gift of infinite value we must protect and nurture. ❤

I love Olivia so much! ❤ Her lyrics are so good and personal and she has a great way to create an scenery. I mean, she can make you imagine everything really well in a lot of songs which I find kind of hard to do when I listen to some other artists, her story telling and her as a songwriter is just great in general. Also, I really love love her vocals, the way she expresses her feelings through her voice is so emotional, sometimes really fun or sarcastic and I just love her songs in general. She's so talented!
