Ramin Karimloo is an amazing talent. He's also ripped, tattooed up his left arm, rides a Harley, can't read music and has no formal musical training. But one of the best voices in musical theatre ever. At a young age, he set his sights on a singing career and never looked back.

Honestly, I don't believe Ramin hasn't been trained. I know he said that. He may not have been trained early in his career, but that doesn't mean it's the same now. In fact, he definitely is trained, his voice is clearly technical and the vocal cords are well maintained. And if you've seen his rehearsal videos, he can definitely read music.

That bassline nearly landed Andrew Lloyd Webber in court. It was considered a copy of Pink Floyd's bass line from Echoes. Nick Pitera does a One Man version where he sings the 3 main vocals in an 8 minute video. It is astonishing to hear.

Phantom is just epic. Both my parents were actors and singers so I grew up on all the musicals, operas, classics. Phantom and Les Mis (and hey a few Gilbert and Sullivan too) are my all time favs. And Sierra and Ramin are this generation's version of Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford. But honestly I prefer the less operatic sound that both Sierra and Ramin do over Sarah's. It brings it to a new generation and you can FEEL the intention. Powerful music, story, lyrics, vocals, sets, costumes. It just has it all.

It makes sense that Phantom sounds kinda like metal, cuz the musical was written in the 80s and heavily inspired by the pop sound of that decade. You end up with this interesting mix of goth/synth music, mainstream 80s metal, 70s prog rock, and musical theater.

Great reaction. One of the best musicals made. Andrew Lloyd Webber made some good ones. "Love Never Dies" is the sequel to "The Phantom of the Opera." Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess originated the Phantom And Christine on that one. They did that before the 25th Annaversary of "The Phantom of the Opera." I don't think it's as good, but it has some good songs.

Dear metal vocalist. I saw this opera on the stage in my favorite musical. This is the stage where Japan's "gekidan SHIKI" went. And when I saw your reaction, I was moved. Thank you. However, I was so impressed that I was surprised to see the video of Tommy johanson who covered this song in a video about a year ago, so I would like to request that metal vocalist also watch it. It's a vocal and performance that shakes the ROCK soul very much! Thank you for your reaction🙏

I love his Phantom as well. I've had the privilege of seeing Phantom of the Opera live and it's definitely a very magical, more sensitive experience. What I love about Gerard Butler's version of the Phantom is he's VERY good at portraying the Phantom's attractiveness as a character while also portraying how much of a dangerous force he is. He's the scariest Phantom that I've seen and I love it. Edit: My favorite LIVE phantom has to be Ramin Karimloo. There's not other like him, I may be a bit biased though since he played Gleb in Anastasia the Musical

I would like to recommend a simply stunning song - something VERY different that what you have been reviewing. This is a beautiful, old iconic song brought to life by a gorgeous, 16 year old lady, Lucy Thomas, with a voice beyond compare. Yes, she is THAT GOOD. It is difficult to know which is more beautiful - the song, her voice, or herself. This is what it is like in heaven watching an angel sing. No tattoos, no sleaze, just pure talent. You MUST listen to this song, even if you decide not to do a review of it. The more you listen to her the more you will want to listen to her. There are a lot of very harsh critics against Love Never Dies. But i have loved Phantom from day 1. The story is intimately personal to me in ways i won't discuss publicly. It's enough for me to say i know the character of the Phantom intimately ( many of his characteristics and attributes are things I share - both good and bad- my life has not been easy in several of the ways his was not) and the love for a woman who belongs to someone else now but who changed my life for the better in the brief time we were together ( though at my worst ). My love for this story, and BOTH of these musicals goes well beyond that of merely great musicals. So, I should be the harshest critic. But, I LOVED "Love Never Dies". It is exactly what the story should have been both historically and in its particular immediate setting. Too many people want a sequel that's basically the same thing as the original. That's sad, because what's the point of that?! The point of a sequel is to tell the next chapter. Things change. Circumstances force change. In that light the Phantom winding up where he did in the sequel makes complete sense. But more than that, he's back in an armosphere he knew as an abused child. But this time he's in control. That's poetic and an excellent twist in his story. It's a twisted irony that is genius. Andrew Lloyd Webber's music for the sequel is every bit as good as the original and there are several heart-rending songs that are stunning and strike exactly the right chords both in the story and in the heart. The two stories are not disparate. They tell one story and it ends exactly as it should have. I respect people's right to disagree, to be sure. But i think too many people just want the same thing retold and my view is that's lazy storytelling. The genius of ALW and the sequel is that he uses musical cues in it from the original show that mirror moments in the new story or which strike parallel story developments and that music connects the two stories together through themes in a new context. Its brilliant!!! No one else does this! The sequel hits all the same moments of the first but in a new story, so in one sense the critics are getting the same structure of the story as they do in the first, they are parallel stories, but with new events and new consequences. I wonder how many of the naysayers recognize that. I understand the difference between the two shows can be jarring. But what Erik and Christine and Raoul went through was jarring. Such tragedy in people's lives never leaves one the same. We all change. So these characters should change a bit too. They are still our beloved characters but a decade older, sadder, wiser, and for quite a few of them, more desperate. I respectfully yet wholly disagree with the critics who hate the sequel. As i've said, this story is very deeply personal to me in ways too intimate to discuss and i found the redemption, the unconditional love, and the forgiveness which this story portrays to be compelling, moving, and deeply satisfying. And the music... Stunning! Several of the songs are forever burned into my mind and heart in both pain and healing, loss and love, sorrow and hope. I hope you will enjoy the sequel too. Before you watch the sequel react to a song I think you will totally enjoy "The Beauty Underneath" - it rocks. It takes place in the story as a parallel event to this song and scene you reacted to. It's the same moment but in a new story with a different character and twist. I think you'll be impressed. This is one example of the parallels in the story that I think too many critics of the show failed to recognize.
