What Dimash did in this song was impressive: He gave the kids the spotlight! He let them open the song, accommodated themselves to their limitations, led them, played a measured solo, prepared a "bed" for the children to shine and finished by tucking them in! There may be more beautiful, more technical, more touching versions... But no one can dispute that this version warms our hearts and souls through its simplicity and commitment to little ones!

I think Dimash is one of only a small number of singers who can sing with children without drowning out their small, light voices. This is what practicing for ~20 years, at least 3 hours every day could get you! Such perfection and control!

Other singers always give 100% on this song, with super high notes and much effort, and it never moved me before. 😅 But Dimash holds back. We know what he can do with his voice, so we know this is very restrained for his standards. But it still sounds more impactful, than all the other versions I have heard before. 😳❤️ The low voice just makes me want to melt. 🫠🥰

A baritone voice "shouldn't" sound this pure when paired with the purity of children's voices. But there he is. When he transitions to a classic Irish tenor voice, and you can hear the restrained power that reminds you that, yes, he is a natural tenor. HOW does he make a melody that is so deceptively simple into a tour de force, while audibly taking such great care not to overwhelm the children's voices??

I think this is one of my favorite songs from Dimash. He is always so mindful of the person or persons singing with him. This was SO THOUGHTFUL, especially with these young ones. Oh, how touching is that! I would love to hear Dimash doing the whole song and see what he would do without holding back. But if it was soft like this - I would be totally fine with it!
