I adore this performance, it's top tier. She did another acoustic performance at this show, "Death By A Thousand Cuts" that I'm sure you would enjoy. The whole concert is really great, I think it's six or seven songs. Filmed at a small venue in Paris, I think only about 3000-3500 people.

Yes!! Taylor is an amazing vocalist, and you are absolutely right she has a huge register that she doesn´t always use because of stylistic and storytelling choices. And her vocal technique is great here and it´s even better now since 2023, now she has exellent vocal technique, which is why her voice can handle 3,5 h shows easily now. She is not only my favourite songwriter, but also my favourite singer because of the emotion she evokes, her vocal cadance, vocal inflections and her beautiful tone.

One of her best ever live performances. She was on fire that whole night. If she did a world tour performing like this, just her and a band, I would spend any amount of money to go.

as a swiftie i just love when people actually listen to her and realize why she's as popular as she is and why we love her so much. she is incredibly talented in every aspect of her career. her voice has improved significantly over the years and she really is an incredible singer but people refuse to believe that

Thank you for this awesome reaction to Taylor's beautiful performance of her beautiful song. I agree with you. Taylor is an amazing songwriter, storyteller, vocalist, musician, performer, etc. Taylor is an incredible artist. She released her Paris concert performances as a TV special. When my DVR died, I lost the special. I'm grateful for KZbin and Spotify.

She’s also a very underrated guitar player as well IMO. She may not play on the Album versions most of the time. Most of her writing starts on a guitar or piano. There’s a great video of her playing a 12 String on Tour. You probably already seen her shred an electric. She isn’t a GOAT for nothing.

re: playing a Taylor guitar. Not this time. She has several Taylors; custom made GS Koa Presentation models, a Koa 12 string (without the fancy inlays) and the Living Jewels model (the blue one with the Koi fish you see in her "Anti - Hero" video (an 18th birthday present from Bob Taylor). But after the Red Tour, she started using Gibsons (including the rhinestone one she uses now on the Fearless section of the Eras Tour -- J180? ) Her pink Lover guitar, and several of the guitars she's used for live performances are either Gibson Mini jumbos or concert size. For the Eras acoustic set, she has a copy of the Koa Taylor she started out with (she has had at least three different ones of these at different times --- judging by the wood pattern on the tops).

Loved this reaction! She truly has such amazing control of her voice and uses it just like another instrument to compliment her songs perfectly. People who say she isn’t talented literally blow my mind. You can say she’s not your cup of tea, but it’s so offensively incorrect to say she’s not talented.

This is definitely one of my favorite versions of this song. She was SO in love and it’s sad that she really did buy and sell that house on Cornelia St. I get so drawn into her music and stories. Her voice gets me intrigued and the combination of the story gets me hooked. Some people are still saying that she’s not singing live (cough-Dave Grohl), as she was literally performing to a crowd that was 2x larger than his at that very moment. It was his fault for performing on the same night and the same city as an Era’s concert. He got hurt that a female has a bigger name and crowd draw than him. Idek what Foo Fighters have done in the past 20 years. Meanwhile she is constantly releasing platinum albums and widely successful songs. She deserves all of the accolades she receives. 🥰🎤🎶

So, I was always meh about Taylor Swift. I knew she was talented, wrote her own songs (much to be admired), and that her songs were catchy. Somehow I stumbled upon her Cornelia Street Live video, and since then I've been a huge fan. It wasn't until that song that I realized she does have great vocals and range.

It was in The Olympia which is kind of an historical place in Paris for artists so I’m not surprised she picked that one place for the launch of the Lover album . It’s not very big inside, quite intimate and it’s very meaningful, it was a unique concert with selective crowd

She takes my breath away. Cornelia St. is in NYC when she had a committed 7 year relationship. Hence the emotion.
@st0r4g363 ай бұрын
i think she was using a Gibson J180 in this performance but Taylor did have a long phase with Taylor guitars, she switched to mainly playing Gibson for like 10 years and now just introduced Taylor guitars back to her setlist with the inclusion of a beautiful KOA one in her acoustic set on The Eras Tour. That one is a copy of the KOA Taylor guitar one that she used when she just got famous so it's so nostalgic to see it again. She has a great type when it comes to guitars and i just want to own them all but they're all so expensive :')

I think it just depends on your definition of a great singer is. I disagree but people often equate great singers to powerhouse. Is that the voice she has, no but I don't think that makes her any less. Some of my favorite singers have sang low for women and high for men. It makes them unique. With Taylor, it's the whole package, including vocals.
